"Till
Death Do Us Part"
In your white sport coat and pink carnation.
You met me at the end of the aisle.
The smile you were wearing I knew was just for me.
Each hair was in place and your shoes how they did shine.
The candles were glowing and the organ was playing.
You came to meet me, my hand you did take.
From this day forward till death do us part?
Now I've walked another aisle, so lonely and sad.
You didn't come to meet me.
Each hair in place, the organ was playing.
Each flower a showcase.
I lay my ring upon your chest, till death do us part.
You are now walking the golden aisle.
God is waiting there for you.
The organs are playing, the smile he is wearing.
You know is for you.
Your hand he is taking, from this day forward.
There will be no mistake, forever to be with him the great.
Nora R. 12-30-89
Little did she
know that he would be waiting for her, a few short years from the
time she wrote this poem.
She passed away after a long battle with
breast cancer. I believe the stress she felt from his death is
what brought her sickness on. Were you would see the one, you would almost
always see the other.
She passed away in her early fifty's. I posted
her poem to honor a sister that was loved so much more than I ever
told her.
