R.B.”Pop” Foxworth of New Waverly, Texas passed away, Thurday, March 10, 2005 at the age of 66. He was born in Tyler County, Texas to R.A. and Annie Mae Foxworth on June 30, 1938.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Foxworth; mother Annie Mae Foxworth; son-in-law, Mark Langford of Conroe, Texas; son Rick Foxworth and wife, Cynthia of Coldspring, Texas; sister, Ella Mae Taylor of Cleveland, Texas; brother, Elbert Foxworth and wife, Tina of Cleveland, Texas; grandchildren, Joseph Foxworth, Mark Langford, Jr. Lindsey Chamblee, Joshua Langford, Cody Langford, Matthew Foxworth; cousins, Dean and Barbara Burton of Plum Grove, Texas and Ralph Taylor of Coldspring, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father, R.A. Foxworth, daughter, Alice Ann Langford; grandson Robert Benjamin Langford; brother, Billy Wayne Foxworth; sister, Ella Fae Scott.

TANNER

Lockhart Tanner of Cleveland, Texas passed away, Friday, March 11, 2005 at the age of 81. He was born in High Tower, Texas to Frank Daniel and Tomie Agnes Lum Tanner.
He is survived by his wife, Lexa Fay Smith Tanner; daughter, Jodie Tanner; son, Roger Tanner and wife, Mary; grandson, Shannon Tanner; granddaughter, Trudi Tanner; sister, Rosa Lee Jones. He is preceded in death by his son, Freddie Lynn Tanner; granddaughter, Peggy Joene Tanner; brothers, Carson Tanner, Archie Tanner, Fog Tanner, Willard Tanner, Brownie Tanner; sister, Lottie Mae Terrell.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 14, 2:00 p.m., Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas with interment at Lum’s Garden of Memories, Macedonia, Texas. Pall bearers were Earnest Jones, Jerry Jones, Gary Jones, Dubby Tanner, Buck Tanner, Pistol Tanner, Billy Cole, Gerald Lum, Bruce Lum, Bud Dugat, Cecil Brown and Joe Wood.

David Roul Ott, age 29, born July 9, 1975 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away, Friday, March 11, 2005. He was born and raised in Cleveland, Texas.
He is leaving behind his loving wife, Kathy Ott; daughter, Rebecca Ott; father, David Ott; mother, Betty Sue Watson and step-father, Harold Watson; grandparents, Tab and Mildred Ott, Mary Squire; aunts Frances Butler, Faye Jolin; uncles, Kyle Ott, “Bubba” James Wright, Brooks Wright, Brady Wright, Johnny Wright; nephews, Charles Griffin, Cody Watson, Roy Ott, Barkley Ott; nieces, Linda McGee, Beth Watson, Hilary Watson, Sabrina Morgan; cousins, Sherry Brandin, Wayne Brandin, Kyle Brandin, Keith Brandin, Karmen Wright, John E. SUTTON

Kathryn Viola Sutton of Cleveland, Texas, passed away, Saturday, March 12, 2005 at the age of 74. She was born in Corrigan, Texas to William and Bertha Sheperd on September 21, 1930.
She is survived by her son Truitt Sutton and wife, Barbara, sister, Mary Ethel Hayes; brother, Jet Sheperd; grandchildren, Joshua Sutton, Jacob Sutton, Lisa White, Paula Ashen, Sheryl Lawrence, and eleven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Sherman Sutton.
Graveside service were held Wednesday, March 16, 2005, 10:00 a.m. at Peebles Cemetery, Goodrich, Texas.

SCHULZE

Elsie Edna Schulze of Splendora, Texas, passed away March 16, 2005 at the age of 85. She was born in Lexington, Texas to Henry and Hedwig Polnick on July 18, 1919.
She is survived by her children, Dolores Head and husband, Charles of Trinity, Texas, Shirley Head and husband, Samuel of Humble, Texas, Franklin Schulze and wife, Yvonne of Splendora, Texas, Bert Schulze and wife, Vera of Splendora, Texas; sisters Annie Vick, Clara Schimank, Minnie Richards; grandchildren, Mark Head, Nathan Head, Kathy Martin, Steven Schulze, Kristie Gibson, Renise Caraway, Donald Schulze; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, brothers-in law, Clarence Rackel, Ray Vick, Alvin Beisert, Robert House; sisters-in-law, Hattie Schneider, Ruth Beisert, Lillie House, Betty Schulze, Wanda Polnick, and many other loving family members. She is preceded in death by her husband, Martin Erich Schulze; parents, Henry and Hedwig Polnick; father and mother-in law, Gus and Dora Schulze; grandson, Eric Head; granddaughter, Phyllis Head; great-granddaughter, Rachel Rea; brothers, Edwin Polnick, Alvin Polnick, Otto Polnick; sister, Meta Rackel; brothers-in-law, Walter Schulze, Arnold Schulze, Edmund Schimank, Arnold Schneider, Vernon Richards; sisters-in-law, Erna Polnick, Martha Polnick and Amanda Schulze.
She was always so appreciative of the loving care with which she was treated by her numerous doctors and nurses with Odyssey Health Care (Hospice) and PRN Home Heath Care, Cleveland, Texas. The family would especially like to express heartfelt thanks to her Caregivers, Lisa Davis and Mildred Lee for their loving and gentle way.

GREEN

Jo Carol Green, age 60, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2005. She was born in Tyler, Texas to Joseph Weldon and Ernestine Gresham on February 22, 1945. She taught in Tarkington and Cleveland ISD and was well know through the communities.
She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Billy Green; parents, J.W. and Ernestine Gresham; daughter, Melinda Howard and husband, Donald; son, Kyle Sewell and wife, Latishia; sister, Janice Corley and husband, Jack; grandchildren, Dustin Howard, Melayna Howard, Johnny Head, III, Emmerson Sewell, Vincent Sewell; numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members and countless friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at Cornerstone Church, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. James Holt conducted the service with interment at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery, Tyler, Texas.

 

Sadie Kathleen Blue Wisdom

Sadie Kathleen Blue Wisdom age 100, born July 4, 1904, passed away March 17, 2005. She was born in Fostoria, Montgomery County, Texas. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Mr. & Mrs. Nathaniel Potter Blue and Mary Ella – Avera – Blue; husband, Roy Wisdom; brothers, Forrest Blue, Delmer Blue, Don Blue, Bill Blue; sisters, Alphie Blue Foster, Bessie Blue Goodin. She was a graduate of Mary Hardin Baylor College at Belton, Texas where she received a degree in art in 1934, she then taught school at Evergreen and Magnolia, Texas. She married in 1935 and has traveled with her husband to different States, he was employed by Shell Pipeline Company as a welder. In later years she taught at Goodrich and Tarkington Prairie under Principal Thurman Patterson. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Cleveland and was a member of Eastern Star. She has out lived all her siblings and though she had no children of her own, she has several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews who have been inspired by her life. Her motto is education is important and anyone can achieve it if you wish to.
Funeral services were held Sunday.

VILLA

Antonio “Tony” Villa of Coldspring, Texas passed away Friday, March 18, 2005 at the age of 31 born March 23, 1973. Tony served in the U.S. Marines from 1992 to 1996. He graduated from the Houston Fire Academy in 2000 and went on the join the Houston Fire Department. He enjoyed drawing, painting and weight lifting. Tony’s wonderful smile with surely be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Andrea Harruff Villa of Coldspring, Texas; parents, Tony and Olivia Rodriquez Villa of Evergreen, Texas; grandparent, Maria E. Rodriquez of Plainview, Texas; daughter, Faith Olivia Villa of Coldspring, Texas; son, Ricky Dominquez-Villa of Coldspring, Texas; brothers, Michael Villa of Huntsville, Texas, Steven Villa of Coldspring, Texas, Robert Villa and Angela of Willis, Texas, Ruben Villa and Amanda of Coldspring, Texas; mother and father-in-law, Al and Sharon Harruff of Ocean Side, California and other loving and caring family members and countless friends beyond measure.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at the First Baptist Church of Coldspring, Texas. Interment was Methodist Cemetery, Coldspring, Texas with the Houston Fire Department as Tony’s pallbearers and Michael Villa, Robert Villa, Ruben Villa and Steven Villa as his honorary pallbearers.

May Bell “Boddie” Enloe, age 88, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2005. She was born in Spring,Texas to Ham Lee and Cordelia Elder on February 8, 1917.
She is survived by her son, Belton Enloe and wife, Janice; grandson Kyle Enloe and wife, Tammy; Two great-grandchildren; Kelsie Enloe and Kasey Enloe, sister, Joyce Armstrong , brother, Tommy Joe Elder.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 21, 2005, 2:00 p.m., Rural Shade Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas. Dr. Byron Reeves conducted the service with interment at Ryan Cemetery.

HOLIFIELD

Shirley Mae Holifield, age 57, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2005 after a long struggle with cancer. She was always so appreciative of the loving care with which she was treated by her numerous doctors and nurses. She was born in Hull, Texas to Jesse James and Virgie Marie Tanner on September 18, 1947.
She is survived by her loving husband, James Holifield; son, Anthony Holifield and wife, Joanna; daughter, Lisa Woods and husband, John; sisters, Marie Wheelus and husband, Tom, Julia Hubbard, Ruby Elmer; brothers, John Tanner, Jimmy Tanner, Richard Tanner; grandchildren, Chet Holifield, Andy Holifield, Tony Holifield, James Woods, John Woods, Jr. and numerous other loving and caring family members and friends.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, March 22, 2005, 2:00 p.m., at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. Melvin Holifield and Bro. Don Vann conducted the heartfelt service.

Myrtle Louise Dulaney, age 62 of Splendora, Texas, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2005. She was born in Port Lavaca, Texas to Virgil Owen Wesley and Dorothy Berdine Ruddick on April 8, 1942. Mary Frances Lay Caloway, age 77, passed away Monday, March 21, 2005. Mary Frances Caloway was a resident of Splendora, Texas for over 30 years. She was an active and devoted member of the United Baptist Church of Splendora and their Quilting Club. She was a lifetime member of the Cleveland VFW Post 1839, a lifetime member of the New Caney American Legion, a member of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile.
She is survived by her loving husband, Virgil Henry Caloway of Splendora, Texas; sons, Richard Eugene Lay and wife, Pamela of Navasota, Texas, James Homer Lay of Dickinson, Texas; daughters, Bonnie Ruth Walker and husband, Michael of Cleveland, Texas, Lola Elizzette Surber and husband, Frankie of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and six step-children; brothers, Carol Crouch of Sheffield, Alabama, John Crouch and wife, Shorty of Tomball, Texas; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends and her very best friend,

Luther Jay Colquitt, age 71 passed away after a long battle with cancer on March 26, 2005. He was born in Wetumka, Oklahoma to George Robert and Dana Josephine Colquitt on March 12, 1934.
He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 52 years, Dortha Colquitt; daughters, Debbie Haufrect and husband, Dale of Houston, Texas, Robin Lynn Colquitt of Cypress, Texas; son, Dana Colquitt and wife, Dee of League City, Texas; sister, Wanda Brown and husband, Stan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brothers, John Colquitt and wife, Loretta of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Robert Ed Colquitt of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Otto Colquitt and wife, Sue of Old Waverly, Texas; grandchildren, Michael McDaniel and wife, July, Dustin McDaniel, Melissa Maddox, Jullian Colquitt, Audrey Colquitt; great-grandchildren, Zachary Purcell, Cooper McDaniel.

WOODS

Billy Joe Woods, age 80 of Dayton, Texas, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2005. He was born in Gladstell, Texas to Grover C. and Lillie Pearl Woods on December 23, 1924. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946 in Cannon Company 313th Infantry. He was also was a member of the Tarkington Prairie Masonic Lodge, VFW and Motor Patrol Unit of El Mina Temple in Galveston.
He is survived by his Wife, Ruth Woods of Tarkington Prairie, Texas; Aquired Family, Mark and Sue Gates and their son, Stefan of Tarkington Prairie, Texas; Cousins, Ethel McGinnis Culmer of Houston, Texas, Connie McGinnie Kubosh of Wharton, Texas, David McGinnis of Aledo, Texas, Perlie Hadi of Atascosita, Texas
