WISNIEWSKI
Adam John Wisniewski of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Monday,
April 4, 2005 at the age of 67. He was born in Herkimer, New
York to Adam and Bertha Wisniewski, Sr. on May 15, 1937 both
of whom preceded him in death along with his loving wife, Georgia
Wisniewski and his grandson, Bobby James Tew II.
He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Barkdull and husband, Mike, Linda
Tew and husband, Bobby, Monica Carter and husband, Michael, Romona Owen and
husband, Rick; grandchildren, John Hohn, Shilo Conley, Jacob Hohn, David Bailey,
Melinda Mcleod, Stephanie Trahan,
Dwayne Trahan Jr., Lisa Trahan, Samantha Owen; eight and one-half great-grandchildren
and a host of other loving family members and countless friends.
Graveside services were held Thursday, April 7, 2005, 10:00 a.m., Pace-Stancil
Memorial Rest Gardens, Cleveland, Texas conducted by Rev. Ben Buehl.
FAIN
Elmore Grace Woodruff Fain, 80, of Coldspring, Texas passed
away on April 5, 2005. She was born on July 7, 1924 and was preceded
in death by her husband Dennis Wylie Fain of 45 years. She worked
in the Houston office of Arthur Andersen & Co. for 33 years
until she retired in 1988.
Grace is survived by her children, George & wife, Candace of Houston and
Susan & husband, Rickey of Coldspring; sister, Ruth George Morrison of
Coldspring; and grandchild, Chelsea Fain of Houston.
The family will receive family and friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday,
April 7, 2005 at Coldspring Pace-Stancil Funeral Home. Services will be held
at 1:00 p.m. April 8, 2005 at First Baptist Church, Coldspring, with burial
to follow at the Laurel Hill Cemetery
DYMACEK
Sharon Lee Dymacek, age 61, passed away Friday, April 8, 2005.
She was born in Huntington, West Virginia to John Henry and Doris
Ellen Burd on December 28, 1943.
She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Joseph Dymacek;
daughter, Dinah Lee Sloan of Patton Village, TX; brother, John
Burd, Jr. and Wife Eileen of Missouri; and granddaughter, Shelby
Leigh Sloan; numerous loving and caring friends.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, April 12, 2005, 10:00 a.m.
at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Rev. Michael
Welmer conducted the service.
KITE
Gracie May Kite, age 84, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2005.
She was born in Saratoga, Texas to William Ivy and Phebe Jane
Griffin on January 20, 1921.
She is survived by her sons, Joe Kite and wife, Patricia of Splendora,
Texas, Benny G. Kite and wife, Patsy of Cleveland, Texas; grandchild,
Deborah Irwin and husband, Otha of Pollock, Texas; great-grandchildren,
Rendy Irwin and Bradley Irwin. She is preceded in death by her
loving husband, John Edward Kite.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 13, 1:00 p.m. at
Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Rev. Chester
Burt and Rev. George Hayden conducted the service with interment
at Bluewater Cemetery, Livingston, Texas.
HALFPENNY
Lisa Ellen Halfpenny, age 48, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away,
Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at Memorial Hermann Hospital. She was
born in Dallas, Texas on August 28, 1956. She was devoted to
being a school teacher and made the world a better place by practicing
the art. She also was able to give the gift of life by donating
her organs to those in need so they could have a second chance
to live life at its fullest.
Lisa is survived by her mother, Carolyn Detweiler and husband,
James; father, Jack Halfpenny and wife, Norma; brother, Mark
Detwiller and wife, Kristen; sister, Sara Hill and husband, Tobin;
nephews, Preston, Wade and Adam Hill. She is preceded in death
by her daughter, Hannah Elisabeth James.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 14, 2005, 4:30 p.m.
at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Dr. Don M. Shannon
and Rev. Eric Vaughn conducted the service with interment at
Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens. A special thank you to the
pallbearers and honorary pallbearers that helped carry her to
her final resting place beside her daughter.
Walker
Sarah Mae Walker, age 97 a resident of Cleveland, Texas for
65 years, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2005. She was born
in Shepherd, Texas to Thomas and Harriett Hayman on January 11,
1908 both of whom have preceded her in death along with her husband,
She is preceded in death by her husband, N.A. Walker; and sons,
Bill Walker, James Eddy Walker. She was a member of the Cleveland
Garden Club, Cleveland Women’s Club. She was a loyal Christian
and was very active with her church family at First Baptist of
Cleveland. She is survived by her daughter, Janey Smith and husband,
Pat of Cleveland, Texas; sister, Coot Larrison and husband, Finis
of Huntsville, Texas; grandchildren, Bob Walker, Scott Walker,
Laura Kay Berry, Shelli Walker, Kristil Wright, Deana May, Jason
Walker, Stuart Smith and eleven great- grandchildren. A special
thank you to her caregiver, Joan Roush.
Bro. Carl Williamson, Bro. Bobby Wood and Bro. Harvard Lewis
will conduct the funeral services held Saturday, April 16, 2005,
11:00 a.m., Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas
with graveside service at 2:30 p.m., Farris Cemetery, Huntsville,
Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, 4:00 to 9:00 p.m., April
15, 2005 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, 303 E. Crockett, Cleveland,
Texas.
SKIPPER
Lavois Maurine Skipper, age 84, of Cleveland, Texas, passed
away Friday, April 15, 2005. She was born in Goose Creek, Texas
to Andrew J. and Lillian Mae Davis on June 30, 1920.
She is survived by daughters, Charlene Skipper Young and husband
William of Cleveland, Tx., Connie Skipper Woods of Trinity, Tx.;
grandchildren, Skipper Woods of Houston, Tx., Glen Young of Athens,
Tx.; great granddaughter, Skye Woods; brothers, Tom Davis of
Houston, Tx.; James Davis of Hempstead, Tx.; care givers, Mary
and Jose Luis Zelaya; special extended family, Harry and Barbara
Almany. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie E. Skipper;
sister, Maraline Michals; brother Fred Davis; parents, A.J. and
Lillian Mac Davis.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 18, 2005, 10:30 a.m.
at the First Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas. Mr. Bobby Wood
and Rev. Rocky Guerrero conducted the service with interment
at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Trinity, Texas.
MOORE
Thera Maurine Moore, age 63, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away
Sunday, April 17, 2005. She is survived by her husband, Nelson
I. Moore; sons, Nelson I. Moore, Jr. William K. Moore, Stephen
W. Moore, Johnny L. Moore; sisters, Sharon, Billie, Brenda, Sheila
and Sonja; brother, John Hammock, Jr.; grandchildren, Justin,
Michelle, Kristen, Reese, Adam, Tracey, Christopher, Joshua,
great-grandchild, Brooklyn Maurine; and countless nieces and
nephews.

SPRUELL
Billy Leon Spruell, Jr., age 29, of Shepherd, Texas, passed
away, Monday, April 18, 2005. He was born in Pasadena, Texas
on September 15, 1975. He is survived by his parents, Bill and
Carlene Spruell; grandmother, Betty Spruell; sister, Janette
Mathis and husband, Kevin; nephews, Josh, Case, and Jordan Mathis;
nieces, Megan and Taylor Mathis; aunts, Carolyn McCory, Charlene
Mills and husband, Bruce; uncle, Charlie Spruell and wife, Vangie.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Leon Spruell. Funeral
services will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2005, 11:00 a.m.,
First Baptist Church of Shepherd, Shepherd, Texas with Dr. Preston
Baker officiating.
HERROD
Elvira Evelyn Herrod, was born to Mary and D.C. McCord in Halletsville,
Texas on February 11, 1924. She passed away Monday, April 18,
2005 at the age of 81. She is survived by her grandson, Corbert
(Bert) Brocker, Jr. and family; granddaughter, Rhonda Mayfield
and family; brother-in-law, Harold Herrod and wife, Kathleen
and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by
her loving husbands, James O. Herrod, Lloyd Tunnel; parents,
Mary and D.C. McCord and her son, Corbert “Sonny” Brocker.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 21, 2005, 2:00
p.m. at Farley Chapel Cemetery, Shepherd, Texas.
YOUNG
DAVID ALLEN YOUNG, age 61 of Shepherd, Texas, passed away, Saturday,
April 23, 2005. He was born November 15, 1943 to Winfred Allen
and Octavia Leona Young in Pasadena, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jean Young; children, David
Allen Young, Jr. and wife, Ardath, Dorene Elizabeth Contreras
and husband, David; brothers, Preston Young, Winfred Young, Douglas
Young; sister, Dena Parrish; grandchildren, Brandy Nicole Danielson,
David Ryan Young, Scott Contreras, Matthew Contreras; great-grandchildren,
Richard McDowel, Daniel McDowell, Beth Muirhead, Kris Pate and
Kim Lewis and a host of other loving and caring family and friends.

a.m. at Peebles Cemetery, Goodrich, Texas.

Virginia C. Guynes, age 78, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away
Saturday, April 23, 2005. She was born February 3, 1927 to James
David and Sarah Leonis Cheek in Nacogdoches, Texas. Funeral Services
were held Tuesday, April 26, 2005, 2:00 p.m. at Bear Creek Baptist
Church, Cleveland, Texas with interment at Pace-Stancil Memorial
Rest Gardens Cleveland, Texas. She is survived by her daughter,
Sandra Taylor of Cleburne, Texas, sister, Rebecca Thompson of
Roanoke, Virginia; brothers, James Randall Cheek of Garland,
Texas, Edward Cheek of Azle, Texas; granddaughter, Cassandra
Renea Arnold; great-grandchildren, Sara and Hope Arnold, Gary
Allen Collier; great-great-grandchild, Austin Collier and other

David “Heavy” Gross, age 51, born in Houston, TX,
passed away April 24, 2005. He lived in Gary, TX and was in the
wrecker and auto service. He is survived by his wife, Angeline
Gross; daughters, Sharlett “Toni” Coulliette and
husband, James, Melissa McCumber and husband, Mickel, Penny Georges
and fiancé, Daniel; mother, Bessie Gross; brother, Joe
Gross, sister, Susan Wells and Jimmy, grandchildren, Tanner and
Tagen Coulliette, Madison, Mason, and Mechelle McCumber; and
a host of other family and friends. He is preceded in death by
his father, Charles Gross; brothers, Charles Gross, Jr., Carl
Wayne Gross; and sister, Pat Moran.

p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Brookside
Cemetery, Houston, TX.
SMITH
Lois Smith, age 59, from Cleveland, Texas, passed away Sunday,
April 24, 2005. She was born in Cleveland, Texas to Leroy and
Ollie Wilkerson on October 24, 1945.
She is survived by her children, Vicki Smith and husband, James,
Carl Shirley, Jr. and wife, Connie, Scott Shirley and wife, Kim,
Greg Shirley and wife, Cheryl, Kent Shirley and wife, Debbie;
sisters, Ruby Wisdom, Helen Wilkerson, Jessie Troutman; brother,
William Wilkerson; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Ollie Wilkerson
and her brother, L.R. Wilkerson.

April 29, 2005, 2:00 p.m. at Pin Oak Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.

Norman Ray Clemow, age 33, of Houston, Texas passed away Monday,
April 25, 2005. He was born to Harris Nelson and Sharon Kay Clemow
III on October 31, 1971.
He is survived by his mother, Sharon Kay Clemow; grandfather,
Nathan Johnson and wife, Martha; brother, Nathan Clemow; sister,
Melony Clemow; brother-in-law, Kermitt A. Gunter, Jr.; aunt,

Shelton Paul Bennett, age 62, of Cleveland, Texas passed away
Tuesday, April 26, 2005. He was born to Ciscero W. and Viola
Allen Bennett on July 13, 1942.

Copper and husband Randy; son, Bobby Bennett; sister, Patsy VanNorman;

Wiggins on March 18, 1955.

Whitton
Willie “Bo” Odell Whitton, age 73, of Cleveland,
Texas passed away Saturday, April 30, 2005. He was born to John
Sallas and Maggie Lewis Whitton on November 12, 1931.
He is survived by his Wife, Ula May Whitton; daughters, Reba
Walker and husband, Jim of Ace, Tx., Teresa Guidry and husband,Terry
of Huffman, Tx., Diane Whitmire and husband, Rex of Cleveland,
Tx.; sisters, Susie Turner of College Station,Tx., Merdell Turner
