JOHNSON

Mildred Madeline Johnson, age 85, of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2005. She was born in Timpson, Texas to Calvin and Lena McDaniel on September 28, 1919 both of whom preceded her in death along with her husband, Elbert “Bo” Johnson; brother, Buddy McDaniel; sister, Syble Riffe; great-granddaughter, Dana Marie Johnson.

She was a retired beautician, active with her church family, a member of the Eastern Star, Treasurer of Farley Chapel Cemetery for over 25 years and in memory of her, the Farley Chapel Cemetery Committee will paint the flag pole and install a flag in her remembrance. She touched many lives throughout the years with her caring and understanding.

She is survived by her daughter, Audrey Gardner; sons, Elton Johnson and wife, Mamie; Corbert Johnson and wife, Bonnie; brother, Aubrey McDaniel and wife, Maxine; grandchildren, Anita Martinius, Bobby Johnson and wife, Sandy, Ched Johnson and wife, Ruth, Woody Johnson and wife, Leona, Janet Chatham, and husband, Avery, Calvin Johnson and wife, Kandy;

twelve great-grandchildren; one nephew; six nieces; sister-in-law, Jewel McDaniel; brother-in-law, Albert Riffe and a host of other loving and caring family members.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 4, 2005, 3:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Dr. Charles Sutton and Sidney Gardner conducted the service with pallbearers, Bobby Johnson, Ched Johnson, Woody Johnson, Calvin Johnson, Anita Martinius, Janet Chatham; honorary pallbearers, Michael Johnson and Roy Elton Johnson escorting her to her final resting place at Farley Chapel Cemetery.

 

Shearer

Mary Alice Shearer, age 72, of Splendora, Texas, passed away Friday, May 6, 2005. She was born in Paris, Texas to Raymond and Lennie McHart Wilson on July 4, 1932.

She is survived by her husband of fifty four years Joseph N. Shearer, Sr.; daughter, Shelly Slade and husband, David, of Splendora, TX.; sons, Joseph N. Shearer Jr. of Splendora, TX., Monty Douglas Shearer and wife, Marie of Klamath Falls, OR., Ronald Allen Shearer of Splendora, TX, daughter in law, Trelisa Shearer; Sister, Christine Brown of Cleveland, TX; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 9, 2005, 2:00 p.m., Pace Stancil Funeral Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. Melvin Holifield will conduct the service with interment at Morgan Cemetery.

 

Hardin

Vera Allyne Hardin, age 88, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Friday, May 6, 2005. She was born in Concord, Texas to Percy Lee and Evie Lucas Hester on June 26, 1916.

She is survived by her son, George F. Hardin, Jr.,; daughter, Ruth Hardin and husband, Walter; grandchildren, George F. Hardin III, Dennis Dwayne Hardin, Kevin Wesley Hardin, Kenneth Ray Risner and Angela Kae Brocken; seven- great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 9, 2005, 10:00 a.m., Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas, Interment at Cleveland Memorial Cemetery.

PARNELL

Ruby E. Parnell, age 88, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Monday, May 9, 2005. She was born in Rayburn, Texas to Albert and Bessie Campbell on September 26, 1916.

She is survived by her sons, Albert “Sonny” Parnell and wife, Wanda, Larry Parnell and wife, Billie; daughters, Joyce Frost and husband, Warren, Jean Tobler and husband, Charles; sisters, Irene Campbell and husband, Bradley, Esther Knight and husband, Wiley, Stella Trevathan and husband, Bill, Helen Lamb and husband, Donald, granddaughter, Reneè Warnock, Sharon Lebeau, Bryan Tobler, Donna Jacob, Julie Sopchak, Shelley Brewer, Jason Parnell, Jarod Parnell, Heather Hemberr

eighteen great-grandchildren and other loving and caring family members and friends.

Rev. Larry Parnell conducted funeral services held Friday, May 13, 2005, 10:00 a.m., at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas with interment at Ryan Cemetery; pallbearers, Bryan Tobler, Bart Brewer, Jarod Parnell, Bob Warnock, Randy Sopchak and Peter Lebeau escorted her to her final resting place.

Mead

Morris Allen Mead, age 60, passed away May 10, 2005. He was born in Wharton, Texas to David Leslie Mead and Dorothy Sledge Mead on June 3, 1944.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Mead daughters, Kristy Drane and husband Scott, Kathleen Smith and husband Ronnie, Kelly Mead and fiancé’ Jerry, Kayme Powell and husband Paul, Linda Latimer and husband James, Bucky Brent; son, Kevin Mead; grandchildren, Dylan, Christian, Kylie, Andrew, Ryan, Wesley, John, Ashley and Madison; sister, Gail Mead; nephew, Michael Hono.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 14, 2005, 11:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas.


HUBBARD

William “Bill” Hubbard, age 73, passed away Monday, May 23, 2005. He was born in Camilla, Texas to Lester Lee and Minnie O’lena Hubbard on September 23, 1931. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara J. Hubbard; sons, Gregory Lee Hubbard and Erin Rothchild, William Bryce Hubbard; sisters, Glenda Ferrier O’Brien and Ed, Sharon Hubbard Evans; brothers, Charles D. Hubbard and Mildred, Neil Robison and Arlene; grandchildren, Edward F. Garagan, Shawn Lane Hubbard; nieces, Terri Sue Robison Reising and Kent, Dusky D. Evans, Tracy O’Brien Waylard and Steven, Tracia O’Brien Behrend and Michael; nephews, Charles D. “Chuck” Hubbard, Jr., Kirk Hubbard, Lester “Les” Hubbard, Troy O’Brien, Dr. W.D. “Bud” Robison, A.J. Robison and a host of other family members and countless friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 25, 2005, 2:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. Lucian Stahler conducted the service with interment at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Coldspring, Texas. The pallbearers and honorary pallbearers that escorted him to his final resting place were Shawn Hubbard, Eddie Gavagan, Bud Robison, Clyde Jordan, Chuck Hubbard, Richard Jordan, Tim Basye, Steve Congram; (HP), Jeff Congram, James Hilton, Kirk Hubbard, Les Hubbard, Troy O’Brien, Michael Behrend, Steven Waylard and Kent Reising.
