Moore

Mary Elizabeth Moore, age 65, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2007. She was born in Houston, Texas on October 2, 1941 to Leroy and Emma Stiefer who preceded her in death along with her loving husband, Johnny Ray Moore.

She is leaving behind three daughters, Elizabeth Ann Allen, Darla Kay Debardelaben, Julie Belinda Dupuis; one son, Johnny Ray Moore; sisters, Irma Johns, Ann Hough; brothers, Walter, Gerald, Tommy, Bud, and Charles Stiefer; her cherished grandchildren, Tammatha Goolsby, Julianne Miller, Joshua Miller, Travis Dupuis, Austin Dupuis, Emily Dupuis, Darren Storrs, Jacob Debardelaben; great-grandchildren, Bryce Miller, Cameron Goolsby, Cooper Dupuis; nephews, Aubrey, Tony, Omar, Chris, Wayne, Wally, Matt, Jeffrey; nieces, Margaret, Debbie, Irma Sue, Angie, Donna, Sharon, Cora, Trina; daughter-in-law, Christy Moore; son-in-laws, John Dupuis, Roger Debardelaben, Glen Allen and so many other loving and caring family and friends.

Patterson

Catherine E. Patterson, 94, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2007. She was born in Gonzales, Texas on March 6, 1913 to George and Marion Swift who preceded her in death along with her loving husband, Earthman Patterson; son, William Ashley Patterson; and her daughter, Martha Raye.

She leaves behind one daughter, Georgia Gibbs; one son, Freddie Patterson; sister, Jefferine Horvath and husband, Frank; twenty-one grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and so many more cherished family members and caring friends.

Family and friends will gather together for visitation Friday, September 7, 2007, 5:00 to 9:00 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Interment at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens.

 

Barr

Charles O. Barr, lifetime resident of Cleveland, Texas, passed away on Saturday, the 8th of September 2007. Baptist in faith, he was born to Otha M. and Ava Barr on March 16, 1926 in Appleby, Texas. He was well known and admired throughout the community. He is preceded by his loving wife, Christine Barr; both parents and his brother, Bill Barr. He was 81 years old at the time of his death at Cleveland Regional Medical Center and left behind his son Charles Dean Barr and wife, Judy; grandchildren, Jody Barr and Cody Barr; his great-grandchildren, Haley Price, Brett Price, Wyatt Penton; sister, Mary Jo Ayers and husband, Earl; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Barr, and Joyce Miller; special friends, Jeff, Janette and Sandra Wright, Amanda Johnson; caregiver, Anna; along with so many other loving family members and caring friends.

Bro. Steve Martin and Bro. James Weaver conducted funeral services on Tuesday, September 11, 2007, 10:00 a.m. at Cleveland Missionary Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas with interment at Cleveland Memorial Park Cemetery.

Hazel Lucille Caldwell, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2007. She was born in Orange, Texas on August 7, 1927 to Thomas Hardy and Goldie Lucille Morgan. She was 80 years old at the time of death and left her loving husband, William Caldwell; son, Richey Caldwell and grandson, William Caldwell along with countless friends beyond measure. Visitation will begin Tuesday, September 11, 2007, 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Alsobrooks

Louis Alsobrooks, born in Cleveland, Texas, passed away on Sunday, the 9th day of September 2007. Not only born in Cleveland but a lifetime resident; born to Amos Rosemon and Martha Alsobrooks on December 30, 1924. Louis was Baptist in faith and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII.

Louis is preceded in death by his mom and dad; sister, Lula Yeager and husband, Clarence; brothers, Morgan Alsobrooks and wife, Ceil, Alvin Alsobrooks and wife, Ada, General Edgar Alsobrooks; son, Jimmy Alsobrooks; and his grandson, Christopher Louis Alsobrooks.

Rosa Lie LaFour, age 83, of Cleveland, Liberty County, Texas has passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2007. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on August 28, 1924 to Samuel and Victoria (Lane) Stevens.

She leaves behind her two daughters, Barbara Anderson and husband, Edward, and Becky LaFour; grandchildren, Misty Poissoit and husband, Keith, Heather Hamblin and husband, Jarod, Rebecca Vandiver, Kyle Poissoit, Kade Poissoit; sister, Lois Peschel; brother, Sam Griffin; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews along with so many other loving family members and caring friends.

Visitation will begin Thursday, September 13, 2007, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Rev. Boyce will conduct graveside services Saturday, September 15, 2007, 1:00 p.m. at Bandera Cemetery, Bandera, Texas. Ruth Verneice Powell, of New Caney, Texas, passed away at Conroe Regional Medical Center, Wednesday, September 12, 2007. She was born in Midway, Texas on May 9, 1928 to George W. and Minnie Harrell who precede her in death along with her husband, Hayden Milton Powell; and her son, Hayden Milton Powell, Jr.

She was 79 years old at the time of her death leaving behind her daughter, Patricia Martin and husband, Sammy; sons, George Roland Powell and wife, Michele, Ronnie M. Powell and wife, Polly; grandchildren, Theresa, Stephanie, Shanna, Trey, Tiffany, Kimberly, Kristi, Melissa, Jennifer, Craig, Scott, Jacob, Matthew; great-grandchildren, James, Michael, Joshua, Sherrie, Erin, Seth, Jensen, and Cooper; sister, Clara Marrs and husband, Gordon, along with many other loving and caring family members and friends.

Carol Earl Carley, resident of Cleveland, Texas, passed away on Friday, the 14th of September 2007. He was born to Owen and Thelma Jane Carley on July 17, 1933 in Houston, Texas. He was well known and admired throughout the community. He is Survived by his wife, Suzanne Carley; daughters, Lawana Franklin and husband, Marlin, Rebecca Carley, Kathy Tarver and husband, Barry; sons, Steven Carley and wife, Dianne, C.Wayne Carley and wife, Melanie, John Burns and wife, Debbie; fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great- grandchildren; brother, Bobby Allen Carley; sisters, Joni Davis and Robin Florio; numerous nieces and nephews; other survivors are Louie, Whiskey, Ki-Ki and Precious.

Bro. Carl Williamson conducted funeral services on Monday, September 17, 2007, 10:00 a.m. at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment at Brookside Cemetery Houston, Texas.

 

Collinsworth

Virla Jo McGuire Collinsworth, 80, of Fort Worth passed away Sunday, September 16, 2007. She was born February 13, 1927 in Abilene, Texas to parents C.B. and Zula Rawlinson McGuire, and attended Baytown High School. Mrs. Collinsworth had been a resident of Dayton for over 49 years before moving to Fort Worth two years ago. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dayton, worked as a preschool teacher and in child care. She also was a volunteer for Hoops and Nets and enjoyed bowling.

Services for Mrs. Collinsworth will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 21, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Dayton with Rev. Michael Thrash officiating. Interment will follow at Palms Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the Funeral Home.

Mrs. Collinsworth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: J.C. Collinsworth, her son: Stephen Collinsworth, and her sister: Ruth Thrash. She is survived by: her daughters: Deena Kay Bond and husband Gordon of Baytown, Lisa Arnold and husband Curt of Fort Worth; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and her sister: Linda Norman of Baytown,
also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

James Collier Scott, Jr, age 79 born December 31, 1927 of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Friday, September 14, 2007. He was born in Elkhart, Texas to James Collier and Ila Mae Scott.

He is survived by his son, Bradley Ames Scott and Dina; grandchildren, Cheryl Annette Belle Travino and husband, Manuel Jr., Lyndsie D. Scott, Matthew James Scott, Allen Kenneth Scott, Michael Anthony Scott; great- grandchildren, Manuel Travino III, Jessica Ann Travino; sister, Carolyn Stanley; brothers, Earnest Wade Scott, Roger Coy Scott, Paul Wayne Scott.. Preceded in death by wife, Lena Scott; son, Michael James Scott; sisters, Janie Collier, Alice Jeffcoat, Sandra Mack; brother, Vaughn Otis Scott. Services were held Wednesday, September 19, 2007, 10:00 a.m. at Pace Stancil Chapel. Interment, Morgan Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.

 

Thompson

Rose Katherine Snider Thompson, 88, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, September 14.2007, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, at the Christian Life Center with burial following at Montague Cemetery, Cleveland. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland.

Rose was born September 12, 1919 in Groesbeck, to parents; Rev. Joseph Gibson and Nora Meekins Gibson, and was a retired teacher with over 50 years of experience.

Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her parents, son: Milton R. Snider, daughter: Nora P. Rayburn, father of her children: L. D. Snider, and husband: Jeff Thompson. She is survived by her daughters: Lilly V. Bunyard and husband Loyd and Mary M. Blake and husband Ralph, brother: Milton Gibson and wife Nina B., six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives, and friends.

 

Anderson

George Edwin Anderson of Spring, TX, age 82, went home to his Lord on September 16, 2007. Preceded in death by his parents, Sarah and Milton Anderson of Evergreen, TX; and sister, Juanita “Sis” Mathis of Houston, TX. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Jean; three daughters, Karen Hewitt, Ronda Kuhlmann (Skip), Martha Baker (Randall); and one son, George, Jr. (Johanna); 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. After serving in the U S Army during World War II, George graduated from the University of Houston with a Civil Engineering Degree. For 30 years he worked for Transcontinental Gas Pipeline, retiring in 1986. A former member and Sunday School teacher at Reid Memorial Methodist Church; he also served in the Lindale Lions club. He was currently a member of Springwoods United Methodist Church. He served on the Spring I S D School Board for 10 years and had a school named in his honor - Anderson Elementary. He loved hunting and fishing with family and friends. He was active in baseball, softball and bowling, both as a participant and coach. Gardening and giving fresh vegetables to his friends was a favorite hobby of his. George never met a stranger. He will be remembered for his honesty and his love of education. Special thanks go to his loving care givers- Florence, Janice, Terral, and Monique. A memorial service was held at Springwoods United Methodist Church on Wednesday, September 19th at 10:30 a.m. with a graveside service at the Evergreen Cemetery in Evergreen, TX that afternoon at 3:00 pm. Any contributions in George’s name can be made to American Diabetes Association, American Stroke Association, Springwoods Methodist Church or Evergreen Cemetery with great appreciation.

 

Enloe

Morris Earl Enloe, age 78, a lifetime resident of Cleveland, Texas, passed away on September 19, 2007. He was born on January 9, 1929 in Cleveland, Texas to Ed M. and Jewel I. Enloe who preceded him in death. He was a Baptist in faith and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He enlisted in the U.S. Marines in 1952, served in the Korean War until 1954.

Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara Enloe; daughters, Dawn White, Hope Lamb, Beverly Jasper, Linda Hawthorne; sons, Rickey Enloe, Silver “PeeWee” Duncan; sisters, Mildred Brown, Dorothy Taylor; brother, Derrell Enloe; thirteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, five nephews, eleven nieces, along with many other loving family members and caring friends.

Bro. Carl Williamson conducted funeral services Friday, September 21, 2007, 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas with interment at Montague Cemetery.

 

Jarvis

Roger Marvin Jarvis, 64, of Coldspring, Texas, passed away on September 18, 2007. He was born in Avon Park, Florida on August 22, 1943 to Marvin and Helen Jarvis. Roger served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1964 to 1968.
He is preceded in death by his father, Marvin Jarvis. Survivors include his wife, Libbie Jarvis; mother, Helen Jarvis; grandparent, Helen Kachanis; daughter, Jenny Robinson and Mike; his son, Roger M. Jarvis, Jr.; sister, Marsha Barnes and Tommy; along with many other family members and friends.

Vela

David Ramos Vela, Sr., 56, of Dayton passed away Friday, September 21, 2007 at home after an extended illness. He was born September 22, 1950 to parents Pedro Vela, Jr. and Antonia Ramos Vela in Laredo, Texas. He had lived in the area for the past 23 years where he worked for Schlumberger as a wire line operator. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Liberty/Dayton Chamber of Commerce. He enjoyed the outdoors and dearly loved his family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Thuc Nguyen officiating. Interment will follow at St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery in Eastgate. Wake for Mr. Vela will be 6:30 p.m. Monday evening with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his father: Pedro Vela, Jr. and is survived by his wife: Rosa Linda Linares Vela of Dayton; son: David Vela, Jr. and wife Brandi of Dayton; daughter: Dalia Chadwick and husband Carl of Dayton, DeLena Medina and husband Curtis of Kingwood; grandchildren: Cody Alann Chadwick, Alexis Roe Vela, Kassidy Rose Vela, and Diego Cru Medina; his mother: Antonia Vela of Laredo; brother: Pedro Vela III and wife Yolanda of Houston; sisters: Guadalupe Arambula and husband Arnoldo of Angelton, Berta Cramirez and husband Arturo of Laredo, Ana M. Ramos and husband Juilan of Houston, and Estella Perales and husband Juan of Brownsville; sister-in-law: Irene Silvestre and husband Manuel.

 

McCarty

William Edward McCarty, 65, of Liberty passed away, Tuesday, September 18, 2007.
He was born October 15, 1941 in Paul’s Valley, Oklahoma to parents: Harold Richmond and Anna Louise Bearden McCarty. He attended Port Lavaca High School and served in the United States Army, spending most of his enlistment touring in Germany. He had lived in Liberty for
the past two years and was previously of Kountze. Mr. McCarty had worked as a fisherman and was a member of the Baptist Church.

Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Dayton, Texas.

Mr. McCarty was preceded in death by his grandson: David “Aby” McDaniel and step-son: Darrell Tanton. He is survived by his daughters: Sharon Warden and husband Alan of Kountze and Karen McDaniel and husband David of Liberty; his step-daughters: Vickey Henley of Liberty and Cathy McDonald and husband Terry of Liberty; his granddaughter: Latosha McDaniel of Liberty and grandson: Preston Mosley of Kountze; also numerous other family and friends.

 

Beasley

James Markham “Mark” Beasley, 56, of Reno, Nevada died September 4, 2007. He was born August 18, 1952 in Toledo, Ohio to parents: James Albert and Darlene Marie Markham Beasley.
He was a free spirit who enjoyed being around his family. He loved his children very much and was always a very helpful caring, loving man, who was always on the go.

Memorial service for Mr. Beasley will be 5:00 p.m., Friday, September 28, 2007 at the
First Baptist Church in Dayton with Rev. Randy Piatt officiating.

Mr. Beasley was preceded in death by his father: James A. Beasley; his mother: Darlene M. Hoyt;
his brothers: Randy Norton and Charles Norton. He is survived by his daughter: Leslie Stevenson and husband Robert of Dayton; his son: Chad Beasley and wife Christina of Yucca Valley, California; his wife: Paula Beasley of Reno, Nevada; his brother: Jerry Beasley of Dayton; his sisters: Kimberley Beasley of Dayton, and Therese Ungles of Dayton; six grandchildren; also numerous other relatives and friends.

 

Hogan

Jerold Lloyd Hogan 91, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away September 22, 2007. He was born in Sherman, TX on February 7, 1916 to Marvin and Vada Hogan who precede him in death.

Survivors include his son, Ben Hogan and wife, Linda; Bens’ mother, Irene Hogan; grandchild, Amy Lynn Sykes and husband, Stephen; companion, Lawana Harmeson and his granddog, “Tank”; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and caring friends.

Graveside services were held Tueday, September 25, 2007 at Rosewood Cemetery, Humble, Texas.

 

Stanford

Clayton James Stanford Jr, 62 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Friday, September 21, 2007. He was born in Diboll, Texas on February15, 1945.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Pauline Stanford; son, Clayton James Stanford, III and wife, Sasha; daughters, Cheryl Ann Dyer and husband Jimmy, Paula Jean Smith; grandchildren, Ashley, Ty, Megan, Austin, Chelan, Layne,Floyd, Clayton, Billie, Betty, Jessica, Johnathan, Dillon, Lacy and Cole; great-grandchildren, Conner Kelly, Kody, Max and Alley; sister, Katheren Elizabeth Moore; brothers, Bobby Stanford and wife, Billie, Billy Stanford and wife, Lavern, special sister-in-law, Imogene Klawinsky; nephews and nieces Jerry Richard, Scott, Caleb, David Gail, Tiffanie, Tammy; and so many other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 24, 2007, 10:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Magnolia Hill Cemetery, Segno, Texas.

 

Moreau

W.M. “Bill” Moreau, 85, lifetime resident of Dayton passed away
Monday, September 24, 2007 in Houston, Texas. He was born January 9, 1922
in Dayton to parents, Leo and Mae Dee Dixon Moreau, graduated from Dayton
High School in 1940 and later attended Sam Houston State Teachers College.
He proudly served during World War II in the United States Marine Corp where
he was awarded a Purple Heart. Mr. Moreau was named Citizen of the Year
from the Liberty Dayton Chamber of Commerce. A retired senior member of the
Dayton Volunteer Fire Department, he served as Chief for several years. Mr.
Moreau was the Mayor of Dayton for 13 ½ years, which was the longest running
term prior to Larry Harris. He was a member of the First United Methodist
Church and a current member of the Liberty County Appraisal Review Board.

A long time rice grower in Liberty County, a member of the Southwest Texas
Cattleman’s Association and Beefmasters Breeders United, Mr. Moreau was well
known for his wonderful cooking and his graciousness to share with so many.
He enjoyed his cattle and his yearly travels to visit friends. His family
was most important in his life.

Services for Mr. Moreau will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September
27, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jon Stouffer
officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery. The family
will receive friends 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at Pace-Stancil
Funeral Home.

Mr. Moreau was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife,
Katie Moreau, his brother, Clayton Leo Moreau and his grandson, Buffy
Anderson. He is survived by his sons: Donald Gale Moreau of Dayton and
Roger Anderson of Rockdale; his daughters: “Dee Dee” Johnson of Dayton,
“Punkie” Shanks and husband Randy of Dayton; his grandchildren: Gary Moreau
and wife Amy of Dayton; Leo Moreau of Dayton; Leah Yates of Dayton; Fanci
Conner of Clear Lake; Paula Soileau of Dayton; Chad DeHart and wife Sarah of
Montgomery; Brant Elliott and wife Laurie of Dayton; great-grandchildren:
Kati Hard, Kindal Moreau, and Sabrina DeHart; Paw-Paw’s girls: Mikayla and
Mikenzie Yates; Also a host of other relatives and friends.

Proffer

Charles Edward Proffer, age 63, resident of Coldspring for 30 years, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2007. Born in Houston, Texas on October 30, 1943 to Charles R. and Frances Proffer.

Charles was employed by HL&P (now Centerpoint) for 35 years. In his free time he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son. They were true buddies and he watched with pride as his son matured into an adult. The family moved from Houston to Coldspring and built their own house on the lake where they enjoyed the company of relatives, friends, and neighbors. He retired in 1997. He enjoyed landscaping his property by creating flowerbeds throughout. He took up the game of golf and became the proud holder of 6 confirmed holes in one. He dedicated his life to his wife of 43 years and as she became disabled he took great care of her. During their marriage they traveled to 30 states and numerous National Parks. He enjoyed people and was a true friend to many. Charlie will surely be missed.

Charles is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Proffer. Survivors include his loving wife, Annette Proffer; son, Chuck Proffer; mother-in-law, Irene Kujawa; sisters-in-law, Jackie Kujawa, Peggy Kujawa; brothers-in-law, Steve Kujawa, Kenneth Kujawa; nephews, Kevin Kujawa, Jonathan Kujawa; nieces, Laurie Duran, Cari Kujawa; and several other loving family members and caring friends.

Visitation will be at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Coldspring, Texas on Tuesday, September 25, 2007, 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Dr. Don M. Shannon will conduct funeral services Wednesday, September 26, 2007, 10:00 a.m. at the Coldspring First Baptist Church. The Pallbearers to escort Charles to his final resting place at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery are Jim Crabtree, Kevin Kujawa, Paul Miller, Greg Duran, Kenneth Bennett, Cliff Whitehouse; Honorary Pallbearers, Tom Barnes, Tom Lambert, Foyd Smith, and Steve Evans.

 

Hinklin

Odis Alton Hinklin, age 77, of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Monday, September 24, 2007. He was born in Romayor, Texas on January 31, 1930 to Orren J. and Mattie L. Hinklin who preceded him in death along with his wife, Ellen Elizabeth Hinklin; sister, Mattie Lee Bowen, and daughter, Gaylynn Marie Harper.
Survivors include his daughters, Pamela Alecia Hinklin, Cheral Ann Granger, Cathy Robinette Norman, Cynthia Jean Phelan, Windy Mickel Cheshire; sister, Betty Lou Sapp; many cherished grandchildren, and other loving family members and caring friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, September 27, 2007, 10:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas with internment at Squire Cemetery.

 

Jones

Dolly Fay Jones, age 64, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2007. She was born in DeBerry, Texas on May 30, 1943 to Odis and Emma Lorene Hill.

She is preceded in death by Virgil Glenn Jones. Survivors include her daughters, Judy Haden and Jim, Glenda Akins and Robert, Rhonda Estenson; son, Nickey Jones and Tammy; sisters, Geri Kirkland, Sadie Hill; brother, Jim Hill; grandchildren, Bobbie Autrand, Robby Akins, Robert Akins, Jr., Henry W. Boles, Merissa Mahan, Jeffery Boles Clint Jones; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Justin, Scarlet, Heaven, and Haley. Numerous nieces, nephews and many other cherished family members and caring friends.

Memorial services were held Sunday, September 30, 2007, 2:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas.

 

Nowak

Myra Lynn Nowak, 58, of Splendora, Texas, passed away Monday, September 24, 2007. She was born in Houston, Texas on January 11, 1949 to J.L. and Billie Louise Scott.

She is preceded in death by her father, J.L. Scott; grandparents, Hollis Taylor, Gladys Scott, Ruby and Wilburn Beck; husband, John Louis Nowak; mother Billie Louise Teel; daughters-in-law, Sharon D’Lea Nowak, DeAnna Nowak; sons, John Mark Nowak, Richard Wayne Nowak, Thomas William Nowak; sister, Mary Catherine Jolly and husband Bobby; brothers, James Lee Scott and wife, June, Hollis Ray Scott and wife, Lynett; grandchildren, Brian Wayne Nowak, Meagan D’Lea Nowak, Daren Nowak, Aaon Nowak, Mark Daniel Nowak; nephews, Hollis Scott, Robert Lee Jolly, Calvin Wayne Jolly, David Nowak, nieces, Debra Lynn Scott, Disrea Marie Scott, Donna Scott, cousins, Sharon, Greany, along with so many other cousins, aunts, uncles and caring friends.

Street

Susan Jan Street, 53, of Coldspring, Texas, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2007. She and her identical twin, Sherrie Ann Divelbiss were born in Van Nuys, California, on June 28, 1954.

Services have been arranged through Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas.

 

Conner

Thomas John Conner, 44, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2007 in Baytown after an extended illness. He was born March 4, 1963 in Liberty, Texas to parents, Charles and Willie Dempsey Conner. He was a lifelong resident of the Dayton area and attended Dayton High School. Tommy had worked as a service manager before retiring. He loved his family and will be deeply missed by all.

Graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at Oakdale Cemetery with Rev. Charles Pierce officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton.

Mr. Conner was preceded in death by his brother: Chuck Conner and his sister: Cheryl Nugent. He is survived by his parents: Charles and Willie Conner of Dayton; his daughter: Ashley Cole Pevehouse of Dayton; his sons: Brandon Lee Conner and wife Kendra of Abilene, and Bradley Ashton Conner of Houston; one grandson: Kayden Conner; brother: Richard Conner of Houston; sisters: Ethel Hiriart and husband Sid of Houston; and JoAnn Gilliland and husband Mike of Liberty; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

McCool

Cleo Patrick Isbell McCool, age 70 of Shepherd, Texas, passed away in a tragic automobile accident on Sunday, September 30, 2007. She was born to Henry Vander and Pauline Ashworth in Groveton, Texas on January 12, 1937.
She loved her God and her family and was very much a home body because her home was very important to her. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. They all loved eating it too; her homemade biscuits especially. She put a lot of heartfelt time in her yard, you could always tell because her yard was as clean as her house. She loved people and had lots of fun with all ages, all over Texas. You could see her through her beautiful bright eyes and shinning smile, she will surely be missed.

She is preceded in death by her by her husbands, Edgar Isbell and Gerald McCool; son, Edgar Isbell. Survivors include her sons, Larry Isbell and wife, Mary, Michael Isbell and wife, Jennifer, Henry Isbell and wife, Renée, daughters, Patricia Woodard and husband, Richard, Cynthia Lamb and husband, Lonnie, Mitzy Smith and husband, Jimmy; step-sons, Mike McCool, Steve McCool, Jerry McCool, Darrell McCool; grandchildren, Noah, Jerry, Richard, Kimberly, Misty, Christy, James, JoAnna, Lacy, Jimmie, Lindsey, Katelyn, Kevin, Kaila, and Rowdy; great-grandchildren, Little J, Gracie, Megan, Mandi, Myles, Hailey, Bryce, Cameron, Blayne, Trinity, Devon, Hope, and Jacie; brother, Cleon Ashworth, Dewey Ashworth, Charles Ashworth, and Grover Ashworth; aunt, Minnieola Smith; numerous nieces and nephews, and other loving family members and a host of friends beyond measure.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 5, 2007, 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 6, 2007, 10:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. Jerry Matthews will conduct the service with graveside services at 2:00 p.m., Calvary Cemetery, Nogalus Prairie, Texas.
