Charles Eugene Emmons

Charles Eugene Emmons, age 85 of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017. He was born March 9, 1932 in Swift, Texas to parents Eugene and Minnie Emmons who preceded him in death along with his wife, Betty Lois Emmons; sister, Marie Petty; and brother, Vernis Emmons.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Emmons; daughters, Kathy Emmons Stuckey, Stacy Emmons Russell and husband Anthony, and Charlotte Emmons Tucker and husband Sammy; step-children, Jerry Snell, Patricia Rowell, Jenny Carpenter, Ronda Kinsey and husband Pat, Billy Sherman and friend Debra Lindsay, and Robbie Sherman, Sr. and wife Brenda; sisters, Bernice Carroll and Mattie Lou Modisette; eight grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, four step-great grandchildren, one-great great grandson; and longtime friend and hunting buddy, Charlotte Spurlock.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 24, 2017 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will follow at 1:45 p.m., Saturday at Walker Cemetery, Redland, Texas. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation or Calvary Baptist Church youth programs.
