Rita Dianne Muirhead,

Rita Dianne Flowers Muirhead, 74, of Dayton, Texas passed away Sunday, March 31, 2019 in Liberty, Texas. Rita was born September 1, 1944 in Saratoga, Texas to parents, Luby H. Flowers and Edna Holland Flowers.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home chapel, Dayton, Texas with services immediately following at 1:00 p.m. visitation. Interment will follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park Cemetery, Houston, Texas.

Rita had lived in Dayton for the past 13 years. Rita worked many years in the insurance industry and retired as vice president of marketing for Underwriters Life. She was a member of Northridge Baptist Church in Richardson, Texas and Cromwell Baptist Church in Cromwell, Oklahoma. She openly professed her faith in Jesus. Her life was a testament to her heavenly father by the way in which she loved her family and humanity. Rita was a huge sports fan and had played soccer as a young woman. She was a rabid Dallas Cowboys and Houston Rockets fan.

Mrs. Muirhead was preceded in death by, her parents; her sister, Martha Flowers Dunn; father and mother-in-law, Sid and Thelma Muirhead; aunt, Hazel Holland; uncle, Virgil Holland; brothers-in-law, Lyndall Campbell and Kenneth Dunn and Nephew, Bubba Massengale.
Rita is survived by her husband of 56 years, Eddie Muirhead; sons, Eric Muirhead and wife, Gina and Sean Muirhead; grandchildren, Ronnie Muirhead, Sidney Muirhead, Taunya Muirhead, Zacharia Muirhead and wife, Rae; brother, Togie Flowers; sister-in-law, Mona Muirhead Campbell; Nieces and nephews, Brenda Meredith, Clark Campbell, Becky Gregory, Cindy Horsman, Bridget Johnston, Cheri Flowers, many great nieces and nephews.
