Austin Terry Wilcher

Austin “Terry” Wilcher, 70 of Houston, passed away Friday December 7, 2018 in Kingwood, Texas. He was a beloved and devoted husband, dad, brother, uncle, “Pawpaw” and friend. Terry was born July 20, 1948 in Rayville, Louisiana to parents Austin Thomas Wilcher and Daisy Viola Bogie Wilcher.

Terry, formerly of Dayton, was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed traveling and watching old westerns with his loyal dog, Max, by his side. Terry played in a band in his younger years sharing his talents on guitar and drums. He always made the most out of life and loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Dora Brewer Wilcher; daughters, Tiffany Engledow and husband, Bryan, Debra Schmidt and husband, Jeremy and Shelley Moeller and husband, Jeff; siblings, June Moore, Judy Blakely and husband, Melvin, Jimmy Wilcher and wife, Nelda, Deryl Wilcher wife, Delores, Patricia Bareis, Randy Wilcher and wife, Ann; grandchildren, Jasmine, Aubree, John, Mia, Ashton, Austin, Owen and Summer; mother-in-law, Katie Brewer; sister-in-law, Linda Wilcher and her daughter, Kristy Barker, and numerous nieces and nephews, friends and brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; son, Christopher Wilcher; siblings, Virginia Sykes, Joe Kenneth Evans, Annette Dugat and Frankie Wilcher.

Service for Mr. Wilcher will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday December 11, 2018 at Pace Stancil Funeral home chapel in Dayton. Pastor David Faircloth will officiate. Pallbearers Randy Wilcher, Michael Paine, Jeremy Schmidt, Jeff Moeller, Bryan Engledow, beloved nephews, Joey King, Frank King Jr., and Shawn King. Honorary Pallbearers John Moten, Ashton Schmidt, Austin Schmidt and Owen Moeller. Interment will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation for Terry is from 5:00 pm–7:00 pm, Monday December 10, 2018 at Pace Stancil Dayton.
