Billy Fain Lilley

June 15, 1931 — February 1, 2021

Billy Fain Lilley was born on June 15, 1931 in Everitt, Texas to Clem Fain and Maggie Everitt Lilley. He graduated from Coldspring Oakhurst High School in 1951. He married his High School sweetheart Ellis Marie Hoot on November 22, 1951 and remained married for 63 years, 8 months and 20 days, until her death on August 11, 2014. He served his country in the United States Army and began his career in the Houston Police Department in 1958. He served the citizens of Houston for 41 years, 10 months, and 29 days, retiring in 2001. In 1999 he moved back to Everitt, (Magnolia Community) San Jacinto County, Texas residing as a fourth generation Lilley on his family’s property. He spent his retirement enjoying the “country life” and watching the activities of his grandchildren.

He left this world and entered God’s Kingdom on February 1st, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clem and Maggie Lilley; brothers, Herman LeRoy Lilley and Clem Everitt Lilley; and his wife, Ellis Marie Lilley. He is survived by his sons, Russell Fain Lilley and wife Donna, Curtis Fain Lilley and wife Cheryl; grandchildren, Ann Marie Lilley, Austin Fain Lilley and Katelyn Kay Lilley; along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was sincerely loved and will be greatly missed by all.

The family would like to thank all the caregivers and employees of The Bradford at Brookside Assisted Living Facility in Livingston, Texas. Thank you for your patience, professionalism, and loving care. God Bless all of you, each and everyone of you are angels…

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 5, 2021 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with visitation starting at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
