Carlton Royce Proctor

Carlton “Royce” Proctor, 62, of Dayton passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2019. He was born November 6, 1956 in Dayton, Texas to parents, Holmes M. Proctor and Ida Powell Proctor.

Service for Royce will 3:00 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Interment will follow at Linney Cemetery in Dayton. The family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2019.

Royce was a lifelong resident of Dayton where he attended Dayton Schools and played baseball. He was a member of the Dayton High School class of 1975. He is a member of the First Baptist Church and was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church. Royce enjoyed watching sports, fishing, golf and the Astros.

Mr. Proctor was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Curtis A. Proctor. He survived by his wife of 40 years, Sandy Green Proctor of Dayton; his daughter, Emily Christine Proctor Mullins and husband Robert of Humble; sister, Christine Herndon and husband Rick; brother, Ronnie Proctor and wife Sandy; mother-in-law, Dora Mae Green; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
