Charles Brad "C.B." Roberts

Charles Brad “C.B.” Roberts 71 of Dayton passed Monday June 10, 2019 in Beaumont, Texas. Brad was born February 11, 1948 to his parents, Charles Marion Roberts, Jr. and Gracie Eloise Downs Roberts in Liberty, Texas.
Mr. Roberts was a former resident of Highlands and had lived in Dayton for 39 years. He was the Animal Control Officer for the City of Dayton for 24 years, known as C.B. by his coworkers. He loved animals and often brought home rescues. C.B. retired from service with the city in 2010.
Mr. Roberts was an avid reader and enjoyed many genres, but he always had a special love for God’s word and spent much time reading the Bible. He spent many years as the song leader at several churches. Brother Brad loved singing and serving the Lord in any capacity. He loved music and movies, and was especially fond of Elvis Presley and John Wayne. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, as well as coffee and chocolate. Brad will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Roberts; daughters, Carolyn Beitz and Melissa “Sissy” Leal and husband, Ernst Leal; brother, T. J. Roberts and wife, Kathy; sister, Yvonne Roberts; grandchildren, Jason Beitz, Holly Beitz, Sam Leal, and Harvey Leal; great grandchildren, Wayne, Ethan, Harmony, and Brianna; and niece/daughter, Rochelle Clark. He is preceded in death by his son, Brad Jr., and his parents.
Visitation for Mr. Roberts will be from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Thursday June 13, 2019 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Formal Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday June 14, 2019 at same location, Reverend Earnie Lenard officiating. Pallbearers will be Ernst Leal, Harvey Leal, Chris Gallegos, Zachary Porter, Taylor Jimerson, and Gary LeNormand Jr. Interment will follow at Palms Memorial Park Cemetery in Dayton.
