Clarence LaVerne Eason, age 87 of Splendora, Texas passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021. He was born April 15, 1934, in Houston, Texas to parents Clarence and Viola Bates Eason who preceded him in death along with sisters, Virginia Carol Parker and Jackie Marie Eason.
Mr. Eason’s main goal in life was to make people smile and laugh. He was a member and deacon at First Baptist Church of Splendora. Mr. Eason loved to fish and was a member of the Houston Bass Club. However, he was the founder of the Cleveland Bass Club.
He was a talented musician who played multiple musical instruments. Mr. Eason also loved Blue Grass Music and he often sang at funerals. He retired from Brown & Root.
Survivors include his wife, Margia Eason; sons, Curtis Lee Eason and wife Angie, and David Leon Eason and wife Darlene; sisters, Yvonne Key and Mary Hamilton; grandchildren, Tracy Lynn Means and husband Jared, Lisa Ann Eason, Amber Dedeaux and husband Jeremy, Landon Petty and wife Joy, Kevin Rhodenizer and wife Christy, and Michael Rhodenizer; great-grandchildren, Paige Nicole Turco and Ruby Ann Eason; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ruby and Tom McConnell; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 9, 2021, at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will follow at Morgan Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
