Elma Jean Sewell

Elma Jean Sewell, age 90, of Coldspring, Texas, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018. She was born July 8, 1928, in Conroe, Texas, to parents Elma Davis Trapp and Imogene Hansbro Trapp, who preceded her in death, along with her husband, M. H. “Mutt” Sewell, and son, Steven Davis Sewell.

Survivors include her sons Melvin Douglas “Chip” Sewell, and wife Peggy; William “Billy” Green Sewell, and wife Anna Gail. Grandchildren Amy Kathryn Sewell; Mark Steven Sewell and wife Holly; Brian Douglas Sewell and wife Casey; Keith Alan Sewell and Forest Holeman. Great-grandchildren Peyton Green Sewell, Keaton Sewell, Stan Douglas Sewell, Jaxson Arnold Sewell, Carra Grace Sewell, and Ava Lilley Sewell. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at Pace- Stancil Funeral Home, Coldspring, Texas. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at First Baptist Church, Coldspring, Texas, officiated by Bro. Dalton Currie, Bro. Phil Herrington, with notes from Dr. Don Shannon. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Coldspring, Texas.
