Elna Ruth Dana

Elna Ruth Dana, age 77, a resident of New Waverly, Texas passed away August 31, 2013. She was born June 22, 1936 in Romayor, Texas to parents Tifton C. Porter and Verna Mae Ashworth Porter. She graduated from Sam Houston University with a Masters degree in Elementary Education. She was retired from a teaching career that spanned 30 years. She was preceded in death by hers sons James Richard and Don Robert Dana. Survived by her children Evelyn McWilliams and spouse Abe, Judy Kuta and spouse Leon, Verna Thompson and spouse Steve and Dolph Dana and spouse Rebecca, Nineteen grandchildren, thirty five great grandchildren and three great-great- grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, September 07, 2013, 8:00- 10:00 a.m., Services will be held Saturday, Sept 07, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment at Oak Shade Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
