J.T. Ellisor

Services for J.T. Ellisor will be held Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Pace Stancil Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Pine Valley Cemetery. J.T. Ellisor was born on Sept. 26, 1940 and passed away on July 5, 2010, at Conroe Regional Hospital. He served as a Justice of the Peace in San Jacinto County for 30 years and worked at Anheuser-Busch Brewery in Houston for 35 years. He was involved in and an active supporter of the Punkin-Evergreen Volunteer Fire Department; San Jacinto County youth groups including the Little League, 4-H, Horse Club and the San Jacinto County Fair Association. He was a member of the Pine Valley Baptist Church. J.T. was preceded in death by his wife, Nona Ruth Lilley Ellisor; his brother Oliver Edward Ellisor; sisters Dorothy Gilley and Patsy Decker. Survivors include his sister, Evelyn Neiderhofer; son, Johnny Ellisor, daughter, Rhonda Ellisor Sherman and son-in-law Billy Sherman; grandchildren, Megan and Travis Ellisor and Bradley Sherman; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
