Janice Naomi Armstrong, a beautiful, loving Mom also known as
Gram…entered Heaven’s gates on May 30, 2017 after a long struggle with
Alzheimer’s. She spent her last years in Cleveland Healthcare Center where she was
cared for by a great team of nurses and aides who loved her.

Born in Bishop, Texas on January 9, 1940, she was the daughter of Maurice
and Fannie Butts. She was a twirler in high school and played the French horn, but
playing the piano was her passion; she even played many yearsafter being diagnosed
with Alzheimer’s. She loved spendingtime in church and with family and friends.
She especially loved spending time outside in the early mornings with God and her
Bible in prayer. Her favorite destination was to be on a beautifulbeach.

When we think of our Mom, we remember her strong faith in God and how
she loved sharing this with everyone she met. She will be greatly missed, but she had
a beautiful, loving spirit and we know she has her memory back and is smiling up in
Heaven!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice & Fannie Butts, by her
brother Bobby Butts, his daughter Della Ann,by her brother Tommy Butts, and by
her sister Maurine Atkinson & her husband David and their son Kenneth.

She is survived by her sister Della Lorfing & her husband Ted, her brother
Jimmy Butts and his wife Margaret, and by her sisters-in-law Effie Buttsand Rosie
