Jearldine Stodghill

Jearldine "Jeri" McDougal Stodghill, 82, of Adkins peacefully passed away September 17, 2018 in San Antonio. She was born October 18, 1935 in Ashdown, Arkansas to parents Foy McDougal and Hazel Beck McDougal.

Service for Mrs. Stodghill will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton, Texas. Interment will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton. The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday morning.

Jearldine grew up in Ashdown, Arkansas. She attended the local schools where she enjoyed sports, played basketball, and attended college. Jeri was a longtime resident of Channelview where she raised her children and later moved to Love Lady where she started her own business with her husband Richard before moving to Adkins.  She loved to crochet, volunteer at her granddaughters school and spending time with her grandchildren.  She always put her children and grandchildren before anything else.  

Jeri was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Vicki Joy and the father of her children, Buell Lankford. She is survived by her husband, Richard Stodghill of Adkins; her children, Diana Smith and husband Terry, Michael Lankford, and Jerri Ann Willis and husband Glenn; brother, Harold McDougal; ten grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
