Jonnie Len Lewis

Jonnie Len Lewis, age 69 of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019. He was born February 7, 1950 in Shepherd, Texas to parents Lila Mae and Walter Lewis, Sr. who preceded him in death along with his brothers, George Curtis and Johnny Peters; sisters, Theresia Lewis and Priscilla Peters.

Mr. Lewis was a family man who loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was an outdoorsman that enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing. In his spare time you could find Jonnie reading his bible. Jonnie graduated from Shepherd High School in 1969. He met Angela Williams in 1988. They welcomed Joshua in 1991 and Amad in 1993.

Survivors include his aunt, Iona Scott; sons, John Earl Noble, Joshua Lewis, and Amad Lewis and wife Meagan; mother of his children, Angela Williams; brothers, Walter Lewis, Jr. and wife Doris, Alonzo Lewis and wife Michelle, James Gibson and wife Brenda, Larry Lewis and wife Melvina; and Clarence Lewis and wife Rhonda; sister, Cherry Steptoe and husband R.D.; grandchildren, Maliyah Lewis, Amari Lewis, and Jonnavan Lewis; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas.
