Julia Faye Nelson

Julia Faye Roark Nelson, 73, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away on April 2, 2021.

She was born on December 30, 1947 in Houston, Texas. To parents Faye and Frank Lee Roark, Jr. who preceded her in death. As well as her sister Margaret Ann Roark.

Julia graduated from Cleveland High School in 1966.

She continued her education at Stephen F. Austin University and graduated with Bachelor's Degree in Education in 1972 from The University of Houston..

Julia enjoyed being a loving wife of 51 years, mother, sister & grandmother. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church, Cleveland, TX, and volunteered to numerous church organizations.

Julia married Ron Nelson on November 28, 1969, in Cleveland, Texas. Together they raised 3 boys: Ronald Jr, Mark & Michael Nelson.

Julia is survived by her husband Ron Nelson, sons, Ron Nelson, Jr. and wife Kim, Mark Nelson and wife Brenda, Michael Nelson and wife Andrea; grandkids, Trey Nelson, Nathan Nelson, Reid Bolton, Shae Bolton, Lauren Nelson, Walker Nelson, Mason Nelson, Kaylee Nelson, Roark Nelson and Lucas Nelson; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

The family has entrusted Pace Stancil Funeral Home with the arrangements. A procession will be leaving from Pace Stancil Funeral Home Cleveland, Texas at 1:45 p.m. A graveside service is scheduled for Friday, April 9, 2021, at 2:30 PM at Magnolia Park Cemetery, Dayton, Texas. Pastor Tommy Ham will officiate the ceremony.
