Leland had been a resident of Dayton since the early 90’s and was a former resident of Sheldon. He was an accomplished carpenter who loved tinkering on sports cars in his spare time. He enjoyed riding his Harley and loved giving his children and later his grandchildren the ride of their lives. Through the years, he supported, inspired and lead his children by example. He taught them many life skills and took turns coaching them in little league. Most importantly, together with his wife and children, he accepted Christ as his Savior and followed in baptism at the First Baptist Church of Sheldon. Leland will be remembered as a man of self-sacrifice...a real life hero to his children.
