Leslie George Waller

Les Waller, 71, of Dayton, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 surrounded by his loving family in Dayton. He was born May 1, 1946 in Reading, Berkshire, England to his parents, Leslie “Chizz” Waller and Doris Knight Waller.

Les, a retired network analyst, had lived in Dayton for the last 30 years and had previously resided in Pasadena and numerous places across the world including England, Australia, and Switzerland. He loved to travel and spend time with his family. He was an avid reader, loved ABBA, and watching Big Bang Theory. He never met a stranger and enjoyed talking with everyone he encountered.

He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Mary Waller of Dayton; mother, Doris Waller of Lynsted, Kent, England; sons, Leslie Waller and his wife, Melissa and Jam es Waller all of Dayton; daughter, Becky Waller Moreau and her husband, Greg of Houston, grandson, Xander Moreau of Houston; sister, Jan Gore and her husband, Vic of Lynsted, Kent, England and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 26, 2017 followed by a Rosary at 1:00 p.m. and a service at 2:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton with Deacon Archie Benham officiating. Burial will follow at Palms Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Leslie Waller, Melissa Waller, James Waller, Becky Waller Moreau, Greg Moreau and Paul Mealer. Honorary pallbearers will be Jan and Vic Gore, Heath Phillips-Gore, Darren Sykes-Gore, Kieran Phillips-Gore, David Gore and Xander Moreau.
