Marie E. (Smith) Jones

Marie E. (Smith) Jones, age 75 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018. She was born March 3, 1943 in Hartford City, Indiana to parents Charles C. Smith and Mable M. Smith who preceded her in death along with her husband of 57 years, Rev. James B. (Jim) Jones (Ret.); son, Charles Owen “Chuck” Jones; and sister-in-law, Laura Jones.

Survivors include her in-laws, James O. and Dorothy Jones; daughter, Tina Mitchell and husband Danny; brothers-in-law, Jerry L. Jones, Clifford E. Jones and Reba Fay; grandchildren, Kristi Peterson and husband Brian, Katrina Mitchell and fiancé Jordan Smith; great-grandchild, Colton Lee Peterson; dogs, Soapy and Abby; numerous other relatives and friends.

Marie was a member of Livingston United Methodist Church, Livingston, Texas. She was a proud and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother as well as a talented seamstress.
