Marion Aline Brock

Marion Aline Brock, age 96 years, 10 days of Evergreen, Texas passed away Friday, April 23, 2021. She was born April 13, 1925 in Slaton, Texas to parents Wesley Allen Brock Elizabeth Bell Baskin who preceded her in death along with her siblings, Eudora Katherine Brock Brunson, Thelma Elizabeth Brock Oliphant, William Melvin Brock, George Wesley Brock, and Johnnie Pearl Brock Whitfield.

Ms. Brock was a Graduate of Levelland High School, Levelland, TX; and The Charity Hospital of Louisiana, November 15, 1951 – Theoretical and Practical Inhalation Therapy, Gas and Ether Anesthesia – CRNA Nurse Anesthetist. She practiced anesthesia for 60 years (1949 – 2009) retiring at age 84. After Marion retired, she moved to Evergreen, TX to live with niece Frankie “Cissi” Snead and husband Daryl, in 2017. She was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church, Cleveland, TX. In her spare time, she loved to travel and read. Her greatest enjoyment was eating. She never married but referred to herself as “an unclaimed treasure”. Marion had no children but was an active influence and participant in the raising of her nieces and nephews.

Survivors include her sister, Alta Mae Brock Craft; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Magnolia Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas 77328. Inquiries – Frankie Snead 713-542-5449
