Mervin "Buddy" Butcher

Mervin “Buddy” Odell Butcher, age 69, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away after a long struggle with cancer, Monday, June 21, 2010. Buddy was born August 11, 1940 in Teague, Texas to parents, William Marvin and Mary Jane Butcher who preceded him in death along with one brother and 5 sisters. Bro. Carl Williamson will preside over funeral services held Saturday, June 26, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas. Graveside services will be held 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas. Survivors include his sons, Wayne Butcher and wife, LeAnn, Brian Butcher and wife, Lisa, Bo Butcher; sisters, Netti Ann Lathan, Viola May Lathan, Doris Evelyn Webb; brothers, Marvin O’Neil Butcher, Henry Allen Butcher; grandchildren, Braeden Butcher, Ashley Butcher and Jayden Butcher; lots of nieces, nephews, and other loving and caring family members and his treasured church family.
