Oscar Beechem

January 26, 1942 — June 18, 2019

Oscar Beechem know as Pa-Pa by his loving grand kids transitioned from his life on June 18 after a short illness. He was born on January 26, 1942 in Jonestown, MS to John Allen Beechem and Ciller Mae Beechem. He was a dedicated truck driver for over 50 years and always made time to be the loving and thoughtful father that he was, also a very loving husband and provider. After retiring he enjoyed fishing and going to the casino’s for pastime. Oscar accepted Christ at an early age. He later joined Beautiful Gate Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. C.M. Jones, Benton Harbor, MI.

Oscar leaves to cherish his memories his wife Patricia of Dayton, TX; four daughters, Margaret Hatchett and husband Willie of Benton Harbor, MI, Angela Beechem and husband Mike of Milwaukee, WI, Lisa Beechem and husband Alvin of Dayton, TX, Tania Brown of Dayton, TX; eight sons, Curtis Allen of Milwaukee, WI, Sammie Allen and wife Shell of Grand Rapids, MI, Eugene Snerling and wife Lisa of Benton Harbor, MI, Oscar Beechem, Jr. and wife Sonia of South Bend, IN, John Beechem and wife Piggy of Houston, TX, Oscar Perry and wife Latoya of Houston, TX, Derrick Brown and wife Membra of Dayton, TX, and Adrian Buchanan, of Benton Harbor, MI; three sisters, Cora Rogers, Gracine Thompson and Racine Jones; six brothers, William Beechem, Eddie Jones, Curtis Jones, Alvin Jones, Calvin Jones, Terry Beechem; one special uncle, Jerry Jones; 42 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.

Oscar was preceded in death by his parents, John A. and Ciller Mae Beechem; grandparents, John Allen and Julie Beechem; uncles, William Beechem and Oscar Newman and brother, Harvey Jones.

A service of remembrance will be held 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas. A remembrance service will be at ral home. Services for Oscar will conclude at that time.
