Quay Macmillan Nicklow

Quay MacMillan Nicklow, age 89 of Coldspring, Texas, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018. He was born October 15, 1928 in Smackover, Arkansas to parents George and Leatha Nicklow who preceded him in death along with his wife, Mary Basye Nicklow; son, Steve Nicklow; infant brother, George Kent Nicklow; sister, Pat Klein; step-son, David Basye; and granddaughter, Amber Basye.

Survivors include his daughters, Gina Nicklow and Lisa Nicklow; sons, Michael Nicklow and wife Nancy, Tim Basye and wife Sherry; grandchildren, George Ebarb, William Ebarb, Bayard Nicklow, Jackson DuBoise, Brandon Basye, Heather Dillon and husband Bryan and Kenneth Wagner; great-grandchild, Cameron Dillon; nieces, Georgeanne Epperson and Priscilla Pace; daughter-in-law, Lisa Kay Nicklow Davis; numerous other relatives and friends.

Mr. Nicklow owned and operated Nicklow Ford in Cleveland, and was very active in the community through the years. He was a member of numerous civic organizations including the Cleveland Rotary Club. He was a former mayor of the City of Cleveland, and was a member of the Coldspring United Methodist Church.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Coldspring United Methodist Church, Coldspring, Texas.
