Roberta Janey Hargrove

Roberta Janey Hargrove, age 86, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014. She was born November 25, 1927, in Shiner, Texas. As a hobby, she enjoyed working in her flower gardens. She was a member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Cleveland. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Antrich and Theresa Proschko Hargrove; husband, John S. Hargrove; son, James Hargrove; grandson, James Hargrove,Jr.; three sisters, and four brothers. Survivors include her son, John Hargrove and wife, Lucy; daughter-in-law, Patricia Hargrove; grandchildren, Jimmy Hargrove, Lori Hargrove, John J. Hargrove, and Belinda Green; great-grandchildren, Ariel Cessna, Randy Todd, Preston Hargrove, and Layla Hargrove; great-great-granddaughter, Heather Ann Hargrove; numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and friends. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. A graveside service will be held Friday, March 21, 2014, 11:00 a.m., at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060 with Father Vincent Alexius, of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, presiding.
