Roberta Sue Haddox

Roberta S. “Berta” Lane Haddox, 73, of Kenefick, died Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2013, at the Kenefick Southern Baptist Church with burial following at Palms Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, at the Kenefick Southern Baptist Church. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Berta was born January 17, 1939 in Dallas, to parents; Bob and Irene, a former resident of Pasadena, and has resided in Kenefick for the past 16 years. She was a retired warranty administrator from Brighton Builders and member of the Kenefick Southern Baptist Church. She also enjoyed gardening, travel, and visiting with others. Mrs. Haddox was preceded in death by her father: Bob Lane, mother: Irene Taylor, stepfather: John B. Taylor, and grandson: Blake Kelley. She is survived by her husband of 25 years: Willie “Rainer” Haddox of Kenefick, sons: John C. Kelley and wife Susan of Spring, Donald T. Kelley and wife Mary of PA, David R. Kelley and wife Mary of WV, and Theodore Kelley and wife Jean of VA, daughters: Vickie Purviance and husband Larry of Onalaska and Laura Sarapa of PA, sister: Jan I. Taylor of FL, 13 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
