Ruth Ann Bagwell

Ruth Ann Bagwell, 81, of Highlands passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at home. She was born April 5, 1938 in Toledo, Ohio to parents Willard McPherson and Willie Brasher McPherson.

Graveside service for Mrs. Bagwell will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Hardin Chapel Cemetery in Hardin with Pastor Andy Glenn officiating. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday at Hardin Chapel Cemetery before the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton, Texas.

Ruth has been a resident of Highlands for the past 52 years. She previously lived in Houston. She enjoyed playing music by ear and mastered many instruments through the years. She was a member of the Day Spring Church in Liberty where she played piano and organ. She was a bookkeeper for her husband’s business. Ruth enjoyed yard work and reading.

Ruth was preceded by her parents, her daughter Sandra Bagwell, her son Billy Joe Bagwell and her sisters Millie Stepp. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Bill Bagwell of Highlands; her son, Harold Michael Bagwell of Tomball; her daughter, Debra Ann Bagwell of Tennessee; her sister, Carolyn Foster of Tomball; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
