Alan Bradley David Holmes, 32, went to his Heavenly home Tuesday, March 21, 2023, in Houston, Texas as a result of a tragic accident. Alan was born September 13, 1990 in Houston, Texas to parents Dale Alan Holmes and Victoria Lynn Waddle Holmes.
Alan grew up in Bellaire, Texas and graduated from Bellaire High School. Alan loved all things outdoors. He grew up hunting and fishing. That enjoyment continued throughout his adult years. He played sports, enjoyed boating, and anything with his family. He had also gained a strong respect and interest in jiu jitsu. He enjoyed his jiu jitsu training and enjoyed seeing his children learn the sport. He was an avid sports fan. He loved his Houston Astros, Rockets, and Texans.
Alan enlisted in the Army in 2012. He proudly served in the United States Army as Staff Sergeant in the 82nd Airborne. He also did a deployment to Afghanistan and earned many commendations while in the military. While stationed in North Carolina, he met and married his Sarah. That was the beginning of their beautiful family.
Alan is survived by his wife, Sarah; sons, Payton Michael Dale and Lincoln George Alan; daughter, Bailey Lynn; Mother, Victoria Cochran; Brothers, Jackson Holmes and Robert McAdams; Nieces, Layla, Riley, and Avery McAdams; Grandparents, George and Ann Holmes; Robert Henderson and wife, Sherry; Aunts, Cindy Holmes White and husband David-their children Hunter and Samantha White; Brandi Milligan; Alyssa Mercado; Uncles, Billy Dossey, Charlie Dossey, & Robert Henderson III; Father-in-law, Michael Ellman; And many cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by his father, Dale Alan Holmes; Grandmother, Linda Tiger; Great Grandparents, Bradley and Irene Beasley; Bennie and Essie Holmes; Blanch Perry; Robert Henderson Sr and Pat Henderson; Mother-in-law, Susan Ellman.
