Allie Virginia Rivers

Allie Virginia Burnham Rivers, 97, of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at her residence.

A memorial celebration will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Allie was born August 13, 1919, in Puckett, Mississippi, to parents; Mora and Lessie Walters Burnham, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in Dayton since 1975. She was a homemaker and member of the Kenefick Southern Baptist Church. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, hunting, and fishing.

Mrs. Rivers was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 31 years: John Rivers, sons: Billy Miley, Charles Miley, and Otho Miley, Sr., and brothers: George and Ellis Burnham. She is survived by her sister: Gertha Palmer of Kenefick, nine grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
