Angel Leigh Evans Holloway, beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on June 10, 2024, in Huntsville, Alabama, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that touched everyone who knew her. She was born on August 16, 1993, in Port Arthur, Texas, to her loving parents Kevin Evans and Melissa Blankenship.
Angel spent her formative years in Dayton, Texas, where she graduated from Dayton High School in the class of 2011. She pursued her education further, graduating with a bachelor's degree from University of Alabama in 2019. For the past four years, Huntsville, Alabama, had been her cherished home.
Angel had a deep affinity for nature and animals. She found joy in feeding birds and ducks, and hiking through the great outdoors was one of her favorite pastimes. Her friends and family lovingly referred to her as "sunshine" because of her radiant and uplifting presence. She was described as "sunshine in a human form," embodying beauty both inside and out. Angel's smile was infectious, illuminating every room she entered and brightening even the cloudiest of days.
Angel was preceded in death by her grandmother, Carolyn Rose, and her grandfather, Dale Evans. She is survived by her father, Kevin Evans, and his wife Marcie; her mother, Melissa Blankenship; her grandparents, Carla Evans, Bruce Renzelman, Gerie Renzelman, and Bill Blankenship; her brothers, Wyatt Wilson, Damon Figueroa, Nathan Figueroa, Robert Figueroa; her aunts, Jan Travis, Sherry Bertram, Paula Romine, Martha Reed, and her husband Walt; uncles, Monty Nightingale, and his wife Maritza, William Blankenship, Chris Evans, Jeff Marsh, and his wife Debbie; her beloved puppy, Hazel; and numerous other extended family members and dear friends.
A visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Pace Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas. Her dear friend Mike Holloway will officiate the service, honoring Angel's life and the lasting impact she made on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Angel Leigh Evans Holloway will be deeply missed, but her spirit of kindness, love for nature, and infectious joy will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her presence.
