Anthony Leonard Elizondo

Anthony Leonard Elizondo, 48, of Houston, Texas, passed away on May 8, 2025. He was born on October 15, 1976, in Houston to Ruben and Carol Elizondo.

Anthony was a loving brother, devoted nephew and uncle, and a faithful friend to many. A proud graduate of Aldine High School, Class of 1995, Anthony was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. At the time of his passing, he was employed as an area manager at Amazon.

Anthony had a passion for movies, especially horror films, and he rarely passed up a chance to enjoy them with his family—although he might say the buttered popcorn was the real star of the show. When not at the theater, he could be found cheering on the Texas Longhorns, his favorite team, as a die-hard fan of UT football. He also enjoyed watching both football and baseball.

What Anthony loved most, however, was spending quality time with his family—especially during river trips or Fourth of July celebrations, where his love for fireworks shone as brightly as his personality. To his nieces and nephews, he was affectionately known as “Fun Uncle DD,” a name that captured his warm heart and spirited nature.

Anthony is survived by his loving sisters, Lindsey Elizondo and Kelly Jones and husband Sam; his cherished aunts, Martha Sims and Stephanie Sims and husband Allen; his adored nephews, Clay Buske and wife Bre, Colton Jones and wife Leyla, and Cash Jones; his beloved nieces, Olivia Elizondo, Mady, Hannah, and Kenzie; his cousin, Stephanie C.; and his treasured great-niece and nephew, Braelynn Buske and Adrian Jones.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Anthony’s life during visitation on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Pace Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM.

Anthony will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
