Ardis Marcell Davis

Ardis Marcell Davis, Sr., 89, of Huffman, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017, in Pasadena.

Memorial services will be held at a later date, at the Houston National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Ardis was born June 29, 1928 in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana, a former resident of Pasadena, and has resided in Huffman since 1973. He was a veteran of the US Army with 12 years of service, including three years at the Pentagon, and was a retired carpenter. Ardis belonged to the Romayor VFW Post #8953 and Carpenters Local #551. He also enjoyed boats and playing numerous string instruments.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents, son: Ardis M. Davis, Jr., and all of his siblings. He is survived by his sons: Donald Davis of Huffman and Ralph Davis of Huffman, daughters: Joyce Anthony of Huffman and Kathy Plaster of Huffman, grandchildren: Zach Anthony, Heather Rehling, Michael Bain, Robert Plaster, and Jalon Grinstead, great-grandchildren: Alexus, Travis, and Catherine Wimberley, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
