Barbara Jean Langford Yarbrough, age 89, of Huffman, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025. Born on November 25, 1935, in Webster, Texas, Barbara was the beloved daughter of Glen Langford and Bessy Knighton.

For the past 58 years, Barbara called Huffman home, where she and her late husband of 50 years, Glen Yarbrough, built a life rooted in family, service, and community. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother whose warmth, kindness, and strength touched the lives of many.

Barbara retired from the U.S. Postal Service after a dedicated career as a postal clerk. A passionate and active member of her community, she was involved in numerous organizations including the Lions Club, the Lake Houston Garden Club, and was a proud founding member of Huffman Volunteers in Action. She was deeply committed to supporting her children and community youth, serving faithfully in the Huffman Athletic Booster Club, FFA Boosters, and Choir Boosters.

Known as a pioneer and pillar in Huffman, Barbara's legacy is marked by her unwavering generosity, strength of spirit, and love for others. She was truly a mother to many and a friend to all—she never met a stranger. Her home was always filled with the aroma of her home-cooked meals, the joy of family gatherings, and the sound of her singing. She especially cherished moments spent with her grandchildren and had a lifelong fondness for hummingbirds, which brought her daily joy.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glen Yarbrough, her son Daniel Yarbrough and his wife Brenda, and all her siblings: Glen, Francis, Charles, Jerry, Maxine, and Nell.

She is survived by her children: Duncan Yarbrough and wife Tanya, Dennis Yarbrough and wife Sammie, Robert Yarbrough, Glenda Logsdon and husband Steve, and Kathryn Caudill. Her legacy continues through her many grandchildren: Shane and Dee, Cody, Tricia, Roger and Brittany, Stevie and TJ, Jennifer and Jimmy, DJ and Courtney, Cory, Chase and Krystle, Ariel and Akihide, Bailee and Kacy, Brody, Kyndal, Korbyn, Kynlee, as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Pace Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, with Pastor Keenan Smith officiating.

Barbara will be remembered for her boundless love, community spirit, and the lasting impact she made on all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her light will continue to shine through the family and community she so dearly loved.
