Betty Joanne Havard

Betty Joanne Havard, 88, went home to be with her Lord on August 4th, 2024. Betty was born to parents Claude Robinson and Verna Keagy Robinson on December 2nd, 1935 in Glasgow, Montana. Betty was a devout Christian, selflessly devoting her time to singing and playing piano to local nursing home residents for 14 years. She loved her family above all else, taking pride in being a granny to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and an aunt to her nieces and great-nieces. 

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bernard Havard; parents, Claude and Verna Robinson; daughter, Rhonda Jean Havard; granddaughter, Lela Calline Havard. 

She is survived by a large and loving family, including her 4 children, Dale Havard and wife Tonya, Vickie Wilson and husband Michael, Leisa Collins and husband Layne, Terry Havard; grandchildren, Cory Havard and wife Miranda, Destiny Havard, Preston Wilson, Terrin Winders and husband Josh, Amera Erfourth and husband Ryan, Blake Havard and wife Katie, Dylan Havard; great-grandchildren, Bailey Havard, Mathis Perez, Dean Erfourth, Lewis Erfourth, Jack Havard, Ada Havard; brother, Larry Robinson and wife Diane; nieces, Michele Baker and husband Brian, Christine Koenen and husband Brad, Dawn Richardson and husband Dan; great-nieces, Molly Richardson, Brianne Drury; numerous other family members and friends.

A visitation for Betty will be held at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland, TX on Sunday, August 11th from 5pm – 8 pm. The funeral service will be held at Rural Shade Baptist Church in Cleveland, TX on Monday, August 12th at 10 am, with Pastor Byron Reeves officiating. Burial will be immediately following at Squier Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Jimmy O’Quinn, Cory Havard, Dylan Havard, Blake Havard. Honorary Pallbearer will be Preston Wilson.
