Billie J. Cooper Honea, 82, of Dayton, died Friday, September 30, 2011, at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, October 3, 2011, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Billie was born July 4, 1929 in Prescott, AR, to parents; Thomas A. and Zula L. Nolen Cooper, a former resident of Baytown, and has resided in the Dayton area for the past 15 years. She was a homemaker, Baptist by faith, and enjoyed reading, crocheting, cooking, gardening, and singing.
Mrs. Honea was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 33 years: Fred W. Honea, Sr., son: Donnie Garrett, grandson: Joshua P. Honea, and seven brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sons: Jerry Garrett and wife Nina of AZ and Fred W. Honea, Jr. and wife Jennifer of AZ, daughters: Susan LeBlanc and companion Kenneth Perdue of Dayton and Sandra Honea of Dayton, brother: Joe Cooper of AR, nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
