Billy Lynn Newton, Sr.

Billy L. Newton Sr., age 79, passed away Friday March 10, 2017 peacefully at his home in Cleveland, TX. Born December 21, 1937 to Earl Newton & Myrtle Flynn in Pasadena, TX who preceded him in death along with his sister, Louise Fleming; step brother, Danny Johnson; and granddaughter, Michelle Newton.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Janett Jacobs Newton; step mother, Bert Newton; step sister, Patricia Owens; daughters, Debbie L. King and Kelly L. Newton; sons, Billy L. Newton Jr., Paul E. Newton and Robert Good; grandsons that he had the opportunity to help raise, Mark Newton and wife, Kaylee Newton; Matthew Newton and wife, Rosie; Jonathon Newton and wife, Meghan and Jeffrey Newton; grandchildren, Tara Davenport and husband, Tony; Joseph Chambers; Billy L. Newton III; Joshua Newton; Ruth Anne Newton; Timothy Newton and Benjamin Newton; and great grandchildren, Daniel, Aidan, Toni, Jace, Addie, Olimpia & Isabella and numerous other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 13, 2017 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Oak Shade Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas.
