Bonnie Lou Thornton Boutin, a beloved soul who touched the hearts of many, passed away on April 1, 2024, in her hometown of Dayton, Texas. She was surrounded by her loving family as she peacefully embarked on her next journey.

 

Born on May 28, 1939, in Dayton, Bonnie's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and cherished memories. She embraced the simple joys of life, finding solace in gardening, yard work, cooking shows, listening to country music, and fishing. Her green thumb brought forth vibrant blooms, with roses holding a special place in her heart as her favorite flower.

 

Bonnie's warm and hospitable nature earned her the title of a true "country girl." Her presence lit up any room she entered, bringing comfort and joy to those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and grace that will forever be remembered by all who knew her.

 

In her heart were those that she had lost including her husband James Boutin; parents Paskel and Adelia Thornton; sons James Boutin II and Curtis Boutin. She is survived by her children Janet Stark and Kimberly Davis and husband George. Additionally, Bonnie leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends who will continue to cherish the beautiful memories she created with each of them.

 

A Graveside Service to honor and celebrate Bonnie's life will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at French Cemetery in Dayton, Texas. The service will commence at 11:00 AM to reminisce on the beautiful moments shared with Bonnie before bidding a fond farewell at noon.

 

Bonnie Lou Thornton Boutin's journey may have reached its earthly conclusion, but her spirit lives on through the lives she touched and the memories she created. As we grieve the loss of a remarkable individual, may we find solace in knowing that she now rests in eternal peace.
