Bonnie Ruth Nelson

Bonnie R. Griffin Nelson, 65, of Riverside, died Monday, May 19, 2014, at the Kingwood Medical Center in Kingwood. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 22, 2014, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with services concluding thereafter. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland. Bonnie was born October 10, 1948 in Houston, to parents; Calvin L. and Eva M. Gilbreath Griffin, and has resided in Riverside for the past 15 years. She was a retired TDCJ guard and enjoyed fishing, tending plants, and being on the lake with her family. Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her parents, daughter: Tami L. Nelson, and sisters: Carol Beasley, Becky Harvey, and Sybil Clark. She is survived by her daughter: Tina L. Nelson, son: Dandy Perez and wife Shannon, brothers: Roger Griffin and James Griffin, grandchildren: Destin Teyulla, Bo Quinn, and Hunter and Lexi Perez, and numerous other relatives and friends.
