Obituary

Callie Marlene Duncan, age 62, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025. She was born on December 24, 1962, to W. O. “Doc” and Alma Hodges.

Callie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose life was defined by faith, love, and service to others. She loved the Lord with all her heart and lived out her faith daily through kindness, compassion, and a willingness to help anyone in need. Callie truly had a servant’s heart and never hesitated to put others before herself.

In her early years, Callie was deeply involved in early childhood care and was always babysitting, caring for children as if they were her own. Many families trusted her with their little ones, knowing they were loved and safe in her care. Her nurturing spirit stayed with her throughout her life.

Callie faithfully served her church in many ways, including helping in the kitchen and working with Vacation Bible School. She took great joy in serving behind the scenes and making sure others felt welcomed and cared for. When she wasn’t helping at church, Callie could often be found coordinating events for the Camilla community, always looking for ways to bring people together and provide for her neighborhood.

One organization especially close to Callie’s heart was the senior organization, where she volunteered whenever she was able. She had a special love and respect for seniors and made sure they felt valued and remembered.

While Callie gave so much to her church and community, her greatest joy was her family. Her home was the heart of family gatherings, a place filled with laughter, love, and warmth. Everyone looked forward to meals at Callie’s house, especially her famous dressing, which became a treasured family tradition. Callie found happiness in cooking for others, opening her home, and making memories with those she loved most.

Callie was a servant to everyone she knew, always offering a helping hand, a listening ear, or a kind word. Her legacy of love, faith, and selflessness will live on through her family and the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed.

Callie is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Duncan; her children, Hayley Baxter and husband John, Jill Pfiester and husband Dustin, and Raimey Chapin and husband Connor; her stepsons, Scott Duncan and wife Amanda and Cory Duncan and wife Yula; her grandchildren, Brooke Duncan, Cooper Duncan, Bo Duncan, Bay Boren, Karly Pfiester, Koda Pfiester, Kassidy Pfiester, Brady Chapin, and Callie Chapin; her siblings, Cristie Arrazola and Donald Dillon; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Alma Rose Humphries; her father, W. O. “Doc” Hodges; and her siblings, Randy Dillon and Gordon Dillon.
