Carey Lynn Crosby was born in Texas on April 12, 1961 to parents, Phillip Vandagriff and Anne Guthrie Vandagriff. She passed away October 18, 2026 in Cleveland, Texas at the age of 65. Carey was an LVN nurse and worked at the VA Hospital for over 20 years. She had a close working relationship with a lot of prominent doctors in the VA Hospital, and some that left the hospital and left to further their career at other hospitals. Carey took great care of her home and her yard and you better not be found riding on her mower. She will be deeply missed by her patients, doctors, and most of all her family. Carey had a great marriage with John and was very proud of their son Jacob. She was preceded in death by her father, Phillip Vandagriff. Carey is survived by her mother, Anne Vandagriff; beloved husband of almost 44 years, John Crosby; beloved son, Jacob Crosby; beloved sister, Julie Gray; beloved grandchildren, Chloe Crosby and Brody Kotwitz; beloved nephews, Jared Gray and Shane Gray; and a hoist of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
