Charles Wayne Bloodworth

April 30, 1949 — April 20, 2024

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Wayne Bloodworth, a beloved and loving man who departed this life on April 20, 2024, just 10 days before his 75th birthday. Born on April 30, 1949, Wayne lived a life marked by laughter wisdom and unyielding compassion to those around him. A true family man, Wayne is survived by his devoted wife, Connie Bloodworth, his sister Michelle, brother David, and his loving daughters, Charlene Malloy, Starla Bradford and his loving son Chase Bloodworth.  He was blessed with son-in-laws who became like his own, Jonathan Bradford, Jason Malloy and Eddie Walker. He was a steadfast grandfather to Angelica Burlingame and her children Alexis and Mason Murphy and Shepherd Daily. His pride and joy in his family was palpable and his love for them immeasurable.

His career started in IUOE at local 450. He then went to school and graduated at the top of this class, becoming a licensed auctioneer. Afterwards he became a master aviation mechanic for Conoco. Not long after that, he was blessed and able to travel the world as a flight safety inspector.

Wayne was a man who found great enjoyment in life. He had a love for singing and could often be found brightening people's day with a song and hope. In his spare time he delighted in assisting others in any way he could. He enjoyed traveling the world, but always found comfort and peace at his ranch in Rusk. Wayne had a unique ability to see the humor in life, which made him an irresistible presence. His charm and cheerfulness made every occasion more joyful. He is fondly remembered for his captivating anecdotes and his innate ability to inject laughter into any situation. This was a man who truly lived a life to the fullest, teaching those around him the importance of love and the value of always expressing it.

There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, April 24th from 5pm-7pm at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland. Though he is no longer with us, Wayne’s spirit will continue to live on in each person he touched with his kindness, his humor and most of all his love. He will be deeply missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing him.
