Cheryl Colbert

Cheryl Rene Colbert was born March 16, 1962, in California to parents, Vaughn Eugene “Jack” Frye and Barbara Ann Frye. She passed away in Shepherd, Texas on January 27, 2026, at the age of 63. Cheryl loved her family and enjoyed cooking and baking. She provided a loving home for her husband and kids, and she thought the world of her grandchildren. Cheryl will be greatly missed by everyone that loved her. She was preceded in death by her father, Vaughn Eugene “Jack” Frye; Mother Barbara Ann Weldon; brothers, Dennis Carpenter and Steven Carpenter; sister, Terry Lynn Frye; nephews, Clayton Eugene Frye and Logan Posey. Cheryl is survived by her beloved husband, Jerry Wayne Colbert; beloved children, Michael Clinton Vaughn Colbert and wife Brandy Colbert, Nickie Dawn Colbert and husband Walter Leutert, Nolan Ryan Colbert, Jerry Johnston Colbert and wife Melaney Colbert, Teri Ann Davis and husband Brad Davis, Sierra Leone Harbour and husband Chad Harbour; grandchildren, Ava Dawn Leutert, Evelynn Rene Colbert, Jonah Archer Colbert, Zoey Mae Colbert, Isabella Ann Davis, and Owen Wayne Davis.
