Clifton Ray Lummus

Clifton Ray Lummus was born February 9, 1981 in Houston, Texas to parents, David Eugene Lummus and Patsy Ruth Lyle Lummus. He passed away May 27, 2025 in Cleveland, Texas at the age of 44 years. Clifton worked at the prison in Huntsville for 8 years, worked at Sonic and McClains in Shepherd. His greatest passion was his music and he excelled in playing the drums. 

Clifton was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Franklin Lummus and Agnes Cybil Lummus, John Jay Lyle and Mable Adel Lyle; and his aunt, Sandra Lummus. He is survived by his beloved parents, David and Patsy Lummus; beloved son, John Paul Michael Lummus; beloved brother, James Franklin Lummus and wife Shaila; uncle, James Thomas Lummus and wife Cindy; aunt, Phyllis Louise Presswood and husband Sonny Todd; nephews, Idle Travis Lummus and Christofer Krafft Jr; niece, Isabel Krafft; cousins, James Thomas Lummus II, Shelly, and Michael Wayne Shrader. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the VFW Post 1839 in Cleveland, Texas on Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 2-4pm. Arrangements handled under the trusted care of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home.
