Obituary

Cory Lee Dabney, age 36, passed away on July 23, 2026. Born on February 8, 1990, in Conroe, Texas, to David Dabney and Shelia Lewis Dabney, Cory lived a life centered on the people he loved most. He was a devoted husband, proud father, cherished son, brother, grandson, uncle, and loyal friend whose kind heart, adventurous spirit, and unwavering love for his family left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Above all else, Cory loved his family. Every moment spent with them was precious, whether they were gathered around a campfire, casting a line while fishing, or simply enjoying each other's company. He found his greatest happiness making memories with those he loved and was always happiest when surrounded by family and friends.

Cory had a true passion for the outdoors. He loved camping, fishing, and spending weekends at the mud park riding buggies with his family. If there was an opportunity to be outside, Cory was all in. He also had a passion for cars, and if there was a car show anywhere nearby, chances were you would find him there admiring the vehicles and sharing that passion with others.

Known for his strong work ethic, Cory worked hard to provide for the people he loved. He believed in taking care of his family and never hesitated to lend a helping hand when someone needed him. His generous heart, easy smile, and genuine personality made it easy for others to love him. To know Cory was truly to love him, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Tammy Dabney; his son, Kayden Holland; his stepdaughter, Kaylynn Bledsoe; his stepson, Royce Jones; his father, David Dabney and wife, Michelle; his mother, Shelia Lewis Dabney; his grandfathers, John Lee Dabney and Henry Lewis; his brothers, Bryce Dabney and wife, Amy, and Skylar Ellis and wife, Shelbey; his stepsister, Morgan McAdams and husband, Lonnie; his nieces and nephews, Kaysen, Hayden, Presleigh, Kashyn, Cole, and Tate; along with many other loving family members and a host of treasured friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmothers, Ernestine Bertram and Wanda Dabney.

Though Cory's time on earth was far too short, the love he shared, the memories he created, and the example he set will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His legacy of love, laughter, hard work, and devotion to family will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
