Daniel Abraham Leonardt was born December 10, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan to parents, Walter A. Leonardt and Emma Reuel Leonardt. He passed away April 15, 2026 in Crosby, Texas just eight months shy of his 100th birthday. Daniel proudly served our country in the US Navy during WWII, and was a steel worker with Armco before his retirement. He was a faithful member of the Church of Christ and will be missed by a large and loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Emma Leonardt; beloved wife, Elma Gladys Leonardt; beloved son, Daniel Allen Leonardt; beloved grandson, Michael Leonardt; beloved sister, Madelin Martin. Daniel is survived by his beloved children, Sonja Comeaux and husband, Kenneth, Tim Leonardt and wife Dulcibella, Ruth Zabodyn and husband Rudy, and David Leonardt and wife Salina; beloved grandchildren, Timothy Leonardt, Lauren Leonardt, Kurt Leonardt, Scott Leonardt, Matthew Leonardt, Brett Leonardt, Ben Riggs, Anthony Riggs, Ashley Hopkins, Eric Comeaux, and Rebekah Jeske; beloved great-grandchildren, Ayden Leonardt, Vincent Leonardt, Serenity Vesely, Sage Vesely, Austin Riggs, Bentley Riggs, Katie Riggs, Skylar Comeaux, Drake Jeske, Graham Hopkins, Elliott Hopkins, and Grant Leonardt; numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel from 12-2pm. Funeral Service will begin at 2pm with Bob Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens Cemetery will military honors provided by the US Navy. Pallbearers for the service will be, Timothy Leonardt, Scott Leonardt, Kurt Leonardt, Matthew Leonardt, Anthony Riggs, and Benjamin Riggs. Honorary Pallbearer will be Brett Leonardt.
