David "Pappy" Blevins

David “Pappy” Blevins was born January 20, 1956 in Portsmouth, Ohio to parents, David Blevins and Julia Evans Blevins. He left this world to go be with Jesus while holding Robin’s hand, with her last words of I Love You, on February 21, 2024 at their little piece of heaven on earth in Coldspring, Texas at the age of 68. Although Pappy was born in Ohio, he would tell everyone that he got to Texas as quick as he could. He loved Texas and its western heritage.

Pappy loved horses, cows, and was an excellent cowboy. He worked for Halliburton for 15 years, drove a school bus for the Cy-Fair ISD, and worked for Peterbilt delivering new trucks. Pappy loved to aggravate people and play pranks, he would call it sticking them with his spur. More than anything Pappy loved his family, especially his grandchildren and was better known to Birdee and Kash as “YooHoo”. He will be greatly missed by his family and by everyone that knew and loved him.

Pappy was preceded in death by his grandfather, Elijah “Paw” Blevins; father, David “Buddy” Blevins; son, David Sanford Blevins. He is survived by his beloved wife of 10 years, Robin Blevins; daughters, Victoria Adams and husband Ethan,  Jessica Blevins and husband Henry; son, Jessie “Bubba” Dye; granddaughter, Kensley “Birdee Rose” Blevins, who “Yoohoo” called “Baby Girl”; grandson, Kash Henry Blevins; brothers, Keith Blevins and wife Debbie, Roger Blevins, and Randy Blevins; numerous nieces and nephews, family members and friends.

Visitation will be in the Pace-Stancil Chapel in Cleveland, Texas on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 5-8pm.
