David Emmit Murphrey was born in Fairfield, California on November 20, 1961 to parents, David Emmit Murphrey Sr and Mary Cristina Padilla.

He entered Heaven’s Gates on April 6, 2026 at the age of 64. David worked in the oilfield and construction industry as a Chief Engineer. He had a great love for his family and was a great listener.

You might not always like is advice, but it was straight from his heart. David had appreciation for all of mankind, and he loved God. He will be greatly missed by everyone that loved him and leaned on him for guidance.

David was preceded in death by his parents, David and Mary Murphrey; sister, Yvonne Pedia.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Alex Parrella; beloved brother, Donald Murphrey; beloved sister, Denise Villanueva; beloved grandchildren, Charlie Shelly, Arlen Shelly, Evangeline Parrella, and Ryan Board; beloved nieces and nephews, Cristina Villanueva, Brandon O'Neal, Katrina Villanueva, Antonio Villanueva & Alfonso Villanueva Jr, and Ben Albert "Trey" Lensing III.

A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 10am in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Trevor Smith officiating.
