David Francis Nethercot

David Francis Nethercot, of Lumberton, Texas passed away on May 10, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on February 21, 1949, in Emporia, Kansas, David lived a full and devoted life marked by hard work, unwavering love for his family, and a heart of gold. 

David was the beloved husband of Patricia Ann Nethercot, his loving wife of 58 years/ He was a proud father to daughters, Lisa Holley and Tina Armstrong, and a cherished grandfather to Dewayne Holley, Jr., Cody Holley, Jessica Holley(Whitley), Clay Holley, Leahann White, Colten Armstrong, Lani Nethercot, Joseph Nethercot, and Hollyn Randall. He was also blessed with 20 great-grandchildren who brought him great joy and pride. 

He is preceded in death by his son, David Andrew Nethercot; his parents, Walter and Dolorus Nethercot; his sister, Sharon James; and his brother, Roger Nethercot. He is survived by his brothers, Richard and Robert Nethercot, and his sister, Elaura Wenzel, all of Wichita, Kansas.

David shared a special bond with his sister-in-law Cindy Simpson, who cared for and loved him like a brother. He also leaves behind lifelong friends Wanda and Leroy Yarbrough, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who will deeply mourn his loss. 

A hardworking man throughout his life, David spent most of his career as a truck driver. Known for his generous spirit and quiet strength, he touched the lives of many with his kindness and integrity. David's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
